Fun and bright retro diner atmosphere. Food was very good- burger and salad with grilled chicken. As a salad afficionado, I doubted a diner could pull it off well. Chicken was tasty, moist and served on a skewer and fried goat cheese was an unexpected bonus. The only negative was that bowling had been advertised online for our Valentine's Day date but the waitress said marketing had posted the event in error. Two other disappointed couples arrived to the diner asking for the same.
We never made it in the door. We had a reservation, it was confirmed and when we got there the diner was closed
This place was so cute and simple and just what you want need a in a diner. I love coming down the shore in Sept & Oct. we stayed at the Asbury Ocean Club and walked across the street to this adorable diner. They serve great food & drinks. We had an omelette and home fries and the food was very fresh and home fries very crunchy! I loved my cup of tea. They had a variety of flavored teas as well. 10/10 recommend!

Arianah made our 2nd time visiting (Greetings from) Asbury Park, N.J. a super special experiance. The fun and cozy atmosphere of the diner amplified by Arianah's kind demeanor & vibes served as the perfect denouement to an early October morning at the beach on our way down for a few days in AC.
Food was great too, and given the neighborhood, quite affordable! Plus they passed my one test for ANY resturaunt or Diner, no matter how big or small and regardless of # of $-signs: The butter packets were fresh, real, and ROOM TEMPERATURE FOR EASY SPREADING. Ruth's Chris: Take notes.
10/10 will return to the Asbury Diner next time we come thru. Thanks again Arianah for a stellar experiance!
No phone, you can't even order out you have to go there and wait. Ok, so I went in to order a d guess what? The menu on their Google page is outdated, they don't even have the food items my staff wants. For a business that sells food to go they sure aren't very good at it.... wasted a ton of time
The diner offered a limited menu but the food was freshly cooked to order. Service was very good.
This place is beyond unorganized. Took forever to get super expensive mediocre food and multiple tables never got some items ordered. Seems consistent with reviews elsewhere. Our waiter was very nice but it was just beyond a mess I'm sorry to say.
Small but cute dine in close to the beach.

They were having a photo shoot which was ok, but they acted like we were intrusive. I had the chicken ribs. Meat was dry and fries were old. She never checked on us. I could've used more napkins and more water. But was never asked.

A very nice little diner! Gives big classic diner vibes and is right off the boardwalk, so it's a great spot to visit when you're down the shore.
I did miss the presence of a regular burger, but the sliders were very good. Grilled cheese was incredible.
Would warn that prices are very much beach prices, so not your average $10 for a burger and fries prices. Be ready!

Second time dining at The Diner at Asbury Lanes... both times service and food were excellent ...
Nice little diner next to the bowling alley and adjacent to the Asbury hotel. Service was great and the workers were friendly! Had the Asbury breakfast platter, coffee, and juice. Everything was good and felt very "diner authentic". You can charge you the room if you're staying at the hotel which is nice. I didn't try the milkshakes but I wanted to (it was too early)! Maybe next time! Recommend checking it out!
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free toast available.

Unfortunately, this was not the experience I was expecting. I made a reservation for my boyfriend and I, and was super excited at first! We went in and loved the old timey atmosphere and went right for a malt milkshake (which was for $12). We ordered sliders thinking they were going to be decent sized ones we saw in pictures online. We got them and they were the size of dollar coins (and for about $17 for 2 sliders)! I ordered bacon jam on the side. When I reminded the waitress to grab it for me after bringing our food out, she said they’re still making the burger topping. I then sat for 15 minutes waiting for my bacon jam and trying to get her attention (we were the only table in there). She came over and asked if we were doing well. Clearly not since I had to wait 15 minutes for a burger topping letting my food get cold. She never checked on us after bringing the jam, never refilled waters. It was overall not the cozy, comfort diner experience I was hoping for. For 2 orders of TINY burgers and fries and one small milkshake, it was over $62! Unfortunately not worth it. Be careful when choosing; the diner and bowing alley are different places!

Wow! This place looks like a dive from the outside, attached to a bowling alley as it is. Omg though. The food is FANTASTIC. I will make it a point to eat here any time I come to the shore. The server we had was also wonderful.
I brought a huuuuge party of 9 children and 4 adults and they had us fed quickly and we all loved what we ordered. I am so impressed.
