The service and food were excellent, the only downside was the bartender not being able to put together a proper old fashioned.

Extremely disappointed. We called prior to going in and were told that they were fully booked, but we could sit at the bar and had an option of full menu there. That was around five 5:30 PM. Walked into the bar restaurant at 6:45. The bartender only had two other people that he was just talking to after noticing us at the other end of the bar. By the time he came over after we spoke to the hostess About the delay,, he told us that the kitchen had stopped cooking /serving dinner. That they were to close at 7 PM. He saw us there from the beginning and decided to wait until after the kitchen closed to tell us that. Not very professional or a good experience For first timers of this restaurant. Not only were we very excited about going, but, Are huge fans of Italian.
They are living on reputation. Too many bad expensive steaks to forgive !

Unfortunately I cannot leave a review because I have not been there in a few years. After several messages left requesting a menu with actual prices, I never received a response. I guess their pretentious attitude thinks if I have to ask I can't afford it. Italian restaurants are a dime a dozen in Monmouth and Ocean County. I don't like surprises. I'm not paying $45 for a bowl of pasta.
3.67/5 The dimly lit and spacious atmosphere at Brando's makes it an obvious pick for a business dinner in the Asbury area. The small plates that we started with were delicious with the eggplant tower that I wish I took a picture of because that was my favorite - nothing like a quality red sauce in Jersey. As for my drink, I ordered a cocktail that seemed to have more leaves than actual liquid so I didn't end up finishing a good amount of it. Then my shrimp entree would've been perfect, but the risotto was drenched too much compared to the creamy consistency I prefer. Still a decent place and I'm sure my review would improve if I sampled some more items down the road.

Went tonight for my husband’s birthday… it was excellent from the time we entered the door… elegant but comfortable, food was absolutely delicious! Our Waiter Michael , was on target with helping us make our choices , and since we were too full after dinner to indulge in dessert, he gave us 2 cannoli to have for later! My husband said this is our new favorite place!
Hyped up. Poor execution
Great staff but the food didn’t deliver at all
Good side. Marinara sauce is great 8.4/10
Scallops. Not fresh. Over done and lacked any flavor. Huge disappointment 2.1/10
Veal Parm - no taste and the oil used carried over into the meal in a bad way. 3.2/10
Martini - too dirty and felt salty. 3.7/10
Staff was very good. Polished

One of my favorite spots for the longest time. Steve knows how to do it RIGHT! Chris, the long standing bartender, is outstanding and knows his bar inside and out.
We had the chicken Parmesan (ask for it) and the pork chop Stefano special - portions that will keep your tastebuds eating Brandos food for a week!
People wait at the bar to get one of the best seats in the house ! Come visit Brandos… you will never be disappointed!

Went Saturday afternoon around 3:30 for a late lunch early dinner date at the bar. Everything was perfect, from the hostess's welcoming us in like family to Maggie setting us up at the bar and making great cocktails to the food (amazing). We are an older couple and love to sit at the bar, get to know the bartender(s) and enjoy a liesurely late lunch. They weren't crowded yet for their Saturday night reservations we knew they would have and absolutely everything was terrific. My only apology is that a second bartender came once we had gotten some of our food so I did not get a chance to catch his name also. I will when we go back and mention his name as well because both of them were responsible for our terrific experience. I have attached photos of some of the meal. If you want an upscale date "afternoon" or night, make it a point to add Brando's to your agenda. Old School, classy, romantic and EXCELLENT STAFF ACROSS RTHE BOARD WE LOVED IT! Thank you Licia & Rich

We've dined here several times and enjoyed the food every time. The bread basket is first class. The homemade pasta dishes are phenomenal. The Ceasar salad has a heavy anchovy flavor so keep that in mind. The Pistachio ice cream dessert is truly exceptional!

Giuseppe our waiter was wonderful. Wedge salad was good but hard to mess that up. Wontons were mediocre. There was also a long wait between our appetizers and entrees. My husband enjoyed his pork chop special. My halibut oreganata was dry. Cannoli filled zeppoles and cappuccinos were a good ending to an otherwise “ok” meal. It was also our anniversary and we were seated at a high top table in the back & it was very loud in the restaurant. For $200+ for two people, I’d expect better.
