I was homesick for Homesick! This place never disappoints. My faves were all there. The marscapone cakes, the Mac and cheese, tuna tartare! Grace took such good care of us! Her vibe was infectious and she was just a delight. It is refreshing to see a restaurant that delivers a real dining experience. You feel truly welcomed at Homesick and now I’m kicking myself for forgetting to order the heirloom tomato salad!

The food is not bad, but I think the issue is that the expectation based on the price point was higher than what it was delivered. I ordered the flounder ($20), and I was negatively surprised when I received just a piece of fried fish with some diced tomatoes and cabbage on top of it. The taste was overall good, but the fish had slightly less salt than expected. Something that I usually don't care about is the air conditioning, but in this case it was so cold it became uncomfortable.

It's definitely a cute brunch spot, very aesthetic and has a nice atmosphere. The service was quick and attentive. The hummus plate was good, the falafel was very different for me, more chickpeas or tahani then herbs. All in all- not bad.

We enjoyed a lovely breakfast. We were welcomed by cheerful staff members and everything was spotless. We started with a Bloody Mary & mimosa, which were prepared & served well. We ordered the spaghetti dish and the French toast with a side of bacon. They were sooo good!

It’s a beautiful restaurant with delicious food. We liked it so much; we were there two days in a roll.
The staff was friendly and professional.
We had avocado toasts with a fried egg and French toast with a side of bacon. All were tasty. My husband loved his avocado toast with a fried egg so much; he had it two days in a roll
Parking: It’s on Cookman, difficult to find parking.
Terrible service and terrible food. The waiter basically ignored us the entire evening, except for when he mansplained to me that the ceiling vent wasn’t leaking on my white dress, it was just condensation. So many great places in Asbury Park -go anywhere else!

The food was great, however the service was absolutely horrible, which does NOT justify the pricing. My party was asked once how our appetizer was, after that, never saw him again. Never asked if we needed refills, never asked how our entree was.. And then we ordered extra bread, said it would be out in a minute because it was being warmed up, came out about 7 minutes later, cold. Weird thing to say? Had to give hostess our check.

Do not waste your time or money here. Overpriced low quality food with abysmal service. Waiter offered us dessert before we got our dinner (we were waiting over 30 minutes for it) and the food was lukewarm and nasty. Never again.
Had the scallops. Wife had the veal. Both excellent.
