Stayed during family vacation season so place was very busy. We booked 2 rooms next to each other, and each was clean and well prepared. Front desk was helpful, and breakfast staff was efficient and restocked constantly despite the heavy traffic.
The night of August 5, we arrived at 11:30 pm for my daughter’s wedding. The guy in the front desk, gave her room (206) away. He was unable to solve this issue. He didn’t know what to do. The situation went out of control and asked me, the mother of the bride, to be coursed out. One of the others guests asked me why I was so angry and the personnel of the motel pardon the “hotel” didn’t have an idea of how to handle this situation. We will never stay in a Hilton facility. Too much expensive, I felt like I was in a road motel.
This place is horrible! The people at the front desk don’t have idea about what customer service is. Either how to treat their customers. The guy who was working the late night of August 5th, left a bridal couple without a room. They had made a block reservation until midnight. It was 11 pm. After two and a half hours he couldn’t solve this issue and the brother of the bride man left his room to the couple. There were not enough towels at the suite. We called front desk to ask for assistance and they told us they do not have personal available to hand us the towels to the suite. The breakfast is horrible and in general is a noisy place.
We had reservations as a wedding block. The hotel gave away the bride and groom’s room away, even though they had made reservations months before and had checked in on line and were given a room number. They didn’t offer them accommodations and were left without a room. I also checked in on line and when arrived at the hotel they said I wasn’t checked in. Would not recommend to anyone.
I so wish I could give a positive review, but this was my first experience with Homewood Suites and was disappointed with the service at the Eatontown, NJ hotel. I stayed for two nights in July for a family wedding. The first night my husband discovered that all the soap dispensers in our shower were empty! And we had no bars of soap. So I called the front desk and was informed that there was no one available to deliver soap so I had to go to the front desk to get some. Then, the next morning realized that we only had 2 towels in the room for both of us, so I called the front desk again to ask if we could get a couple more and again I was told that there was no one to deliver them so I had to go to the front desk to get them, which I did in my pajamas and robe. Then the second night our room was not cleaned or made up. I had stopped by the front desk around noon to ask if the room could be cleaned up and was told that the cleaning staff is onsite that day to refresh the rooms and it will be done. By 4:00p it was not done. I again called the front desk and asked if it could be done and they said it would be made up while we were out at the wedding. When we got back, the room was not touched. I have never encountered this at any hotel I've every stayed. I realize this hotel handles large groups for weddings and business travelers and may be understaffed, but at the very least, I would think its guests could expect a room to be serviced. By the way, I was traveling with my handicapped father whose room also was not serviced until late. Thankfully his accessible room was serviced by the time we returned from the wedding. Then, to add insult in injury, when I checked out, I discovered that someone had charged a frozen dinner to my room. This was of course reversed out by the front desk. But, I guess that's what I get for having to keep asking for amenities. If I have say something positive, they do offer a nice buffet breakfast. That said, I also handle travel arrangements for executives and will steer clear of Homewood Suite at least in Eastontown, NJ.
My husband and I stayed at the Homewood Suites, Eatontown NJ in May. This was our second stay at the hotel this year for a recovery period after surgery. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast and the Wednesday reception. The customer service was outstanding. Special thanks to Jeni, who helped us once again with the accommodations that we needed to make our stay easier. She has been so kind and helpful in whatever we have asked. We will stay here again.
We stayed at this hotel after a day at the beach. The staff were super friendly during the check in. Our room was large and actually quite nice. Super clean, spacious, and the bed was comfy. We enjoyed the pool, which was also very clean. The hotel was a quick ride to Asbury Park for dinner on the boardwalk. We were welcomed as diamond members with water and the room of our preference. Overall, I thought this was a solid Homewood Suites with nice staff and clean, comfortable accommodations.
The room fare was very expensive considering the facility / accommodations. They charged us a pet fee without telling us when we checked out. When we called them to ask about it, they did not admit their mistake but insisted that it is our fault because we were not aware of it. We would never go back to this hotel. Outdated and not convenient to go to the beach. Service was horrible, especially, those who received our complaints almost yelled at us.
This is my second time staying here. This hotel is 10-15 min from asbury and long branch beaches. 10-14 min to red bank for dining. Location is great for driving around to farms too. Clean! Free breakfast which has plenty of options and pool is amazing. For the price these spacious rooms won’t be beat! We have stayed at the Sheraton next door (beautiful) and the Marriott down the road (tiny rooms) No complaints about this place!!
We are DIAMOND members of the Hilton hotel chain and this is by far the worst customer service we have ever experienced. The staff is beyond rude and seemingly unknowledgeable of their jobs. It was so bad, until I had to insist that we find another hotel to go to knowing that we would need a room for another 3 weeks. We didn't get the room we reserved, we could not pay the way we needed to pay to ensure our corp card wasn't charged, etc. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK AND WOULD NOT NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE.

The Meat Gravy & Meatballs Pizza was excellent. We'd get it again
Medusa Pizza is perfection - sweet sauce and a crispy, yet chewy thin crust. Amazing pizza and friendly staff!
The best spanish food hands down . Everything is prepared well
This place is just amazing. Great, fresh ingredients. Eaten here many times and never disappointed.
