Finally back after the refresh, and I must say the food was as consistently good as it has ever been. This time though, I was so happy to see that they have improved their craft beer list. To be honest, it is probably the best beer menu any place in Asbury Park right now. Well done and we'll be back!

Ok so I did not like the place prior to the reconstruction of the place and went back and still a no. They offered a spicy mushroo taco. 😂😂😂It was a bean taco with a half thumb size fritter on it. If you are going to call it a mushroom taco the main ingredient should be mushroom. Served on the small corn taco cover it with beans and garnish it with a tiny fritter. Ok moving on to the burrito.. ok when you ask for carne asada again Carne should be the main ingredient. Not rice and beans that's not how burritos are made..rice and beans are side dishes. But there was barely and when I say barely any meat in that burrito. They want to make sure you fill up on the rice and beans they shove in there. You are better off going to Tic Taco Taqueria they know burritos should be filled with whatever meat or poultry you order..there is no rice and beans in the burrito. If you are going to charge so much money for a bad burrito maybe you should learn from TTT. Not saying they don't have their downfall but they know what tacos and burritos should have inside them. As far as drinks..the prices are ridic. Well I guess they just need to up the prices to pay for the new construction although nothing has changed. Had to eat the burrito cause I was hungry and if I complain on a busy day you never know what happens to your food before it comes back..😂🙊

Absolutely love the new and improved Lotería! The enhanced cocktail menu is great and has such reasonably priced drinks especially for Asbury. We had the patatas bravas, various tacos, chips + guac, and a steak quesadilla. They added crispy mushroom taco that was so delicious! Our server, Lauren was also incredibly attentive and sweet. Highly recommend!!

Service was meh (took a while to get drinks and server seemed super uninterested), but the food was good! Absolutely overpriced (7 dollars for a tiny taco? 15 dollars for a margarita?) but a good spot to mix into your Asbury routine

This place was not that great. Our food took a long time to come out. People were getting their orders before we did (and we were there first) and then the food wasn’t that great when it came out. I thought it would be better. We will likely not return.

The food was bland. The margarita had too much ice in it so it was small. This place used to be good but has gone downhill ?

Our meal here was an experience of cosmic proportions.

The chimichanga (a Sunday special) was unbelievable. The meat was delicious, but somehow the star of the show was the rice and beans. This fried burrito was a religious experience!

The queso dip is serious business. The cheese sauce itself had great texture and richness. With the addition of the chorizo.. an insane flavor!

The tacos were simple but delicious.

The margarita was refreshing, sweet, salty, and strong.

The churros were the perfect end of an excellent meal.

Absolutely would recommend!
