All I have to say is OH MAAAA GAAAASHH the Hawaiian style POKE BOWL !!! First thing I’ve ever had from here and let’s just say it’s opened up my taste pallets to a world of flavor ❤️ it’s so refreshing and filling . I also had the pleasure of getting a sweet treat and whewww when I tell you it’s 100% worth it ; the staff is amazing ; Managers are very sweet and all around a great atmosphere

My new favorite coffee shop in asbury! The staff was so friendly. I got a quad shot it was strong and delicious and I got a sweet potato cookie that was amazing! Overall great experience and very reasonable in pricing!
To top it off they asked if I wanted water because I was in the middle of my run. Sweet sweet people we need more good hearted places like this!

The staff here is so friendly and helpful! I came here on a Saturday morning and ordered a drink with almond milk accidentally but meant to order it with whole milk. When I told the staff that, they offered to make me a brand new one and brought it out to me! Amazing customer service even on a busy morning!!

Makana’s Eatery is absolutely outstanding! I was sitting outside this past Sunday and had the most delightful experience — calm, refreshing, and just what I needed. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the atmosphere even better. The beverages were excellent, full of flavor and beautifully prepared. A perfect spot in Asbury Park for both quality and service. Highly recommended!

This place is incredible! We stopped by for coffee and the Nutty Hawaiian is seriously the best coffee drink I’ve had in a looooong time. The macadamia cold foam is super creative and the coffee was great. Can’t wait to return for a proper meal next time.

Makana’s is my go-to spot nearly every morning, and it’s nothing short of incredible. 10/10 recommend for coffee, lunch, and vibes. Their iced coffee with vanilla cold foam is SO fresh (made with real vanilla, no artificial anything) and they have (actually good!) decaf coffee. The vibe is really beautiful. It's a great spot to sit and meet new people. Lots of natural sunlight and plants with plenty of seating.
They are a great go-to for lunch. Very clean food that's also filling and tasty (my go-to is avo toast and they also have amazingggg baked goods.) You can tell the owners put a lot of love into the place. Shoutout to Kenny the barista, who bring such positive energy first thing in the morning!

As lovers of all things Hawaii, we were thrilled when Makana's opened. Jaerene and Kevin have brought a tasteful and approachable touch of the islands to Asbury Park. They, along with all of their incredibly friendly staff, have created such a welcoming environment that has had us coming back almost everyday (except Mondays 😝) for our favorite coffee and breakfast. Let's put it this way, I only drink iced coffee at Makana's. The Oohbaby will change your life! And, on a cold winter's day, they'll make you a hot version to warm you up! The care they've put into their menu is like nowhere else. No bottled flavor syrups here. All made from scratch and prepared to still let their great coffee to shine through.
Their baked goods are all made in house and always fresh, new, and different. There is always an Ube cookie waiting for our daughter. Speaking of which, our daughter (almost 1 1/2 yrs old) lights up every time we walk through the door. Again, a testament to the family feel that Makana's has created. Everyone is as excited to see her as she is to see them.
The food? Let's talk about the food. Tell me where else you can go and get a breakfast made with Portuguese sausage flown in from the Hawaiian Islands? Go ahead, I'll wait. The Local Girl has to be my all time favorite breakfast, at this point. Secret menu hack: get it as a bowl 🤫 Kevin works his butt off behind the grill to bring you fresh and creative menu items, that you can't get anywhere else. Truly making Makana's more than your average coffee shop.
