First time visit to R Bar and we were so pleased with their food, drink, service and atmosphere. We will recommend to other friends and family. Try their Ahi tuna and watermelon as a starter and their wedge salad had a great presentation. Their food was delicious

We had a wonderful first visit yesterday. Jackie was our server and she was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and spot-on with her recommendations. She suggested the scallop appetizer, which was excellent. I ordered the seafood ramen and my wife had the wedge salad; both dishes were fresh and delicious. We’ll definitely be back soon!

I’ve been to R bar 5 times. First time blew me away, the second and third were mid, and the other 2 times great. I would say for inconsistency I’d give it a 4.5 but really did love it this last time around!

R Bar is such a vibe from start to finish! The energy is infectious, thanks in large part to the upbeat disco playlist that makes you want to dance in your seat while sipping cocktails. Everything about the atmosphere feels fun, lively, and just right for a night out or weekend treat.
The food is fantastic. Most dishes were exceptional and a few were just okay, but overall we were super impressed. The tuna and watermelon combo was refreshing and perfectly balanced, and the shrimp tacos were absolutely divine. The baked oysters were rich and packed with flavor. We could have ordered another round. The only dish that missed the mark a bit were the mussels, which were a little bland and could have used more depth. Still, everything else made up for it in a big way.
Now, the MargaREAPER deserves a shoutout all on its own. It was hands down my favorite cocktail of the night. I highly recommend swapping in mezcal for the tequila. It gives it the perfect smoky kick. I ended up ordering three, it was that good.
For dessert, do not skip the beignets. They are an absolute must order. Light, airy, and totally addictive.
And if you’re going on a Saturday or Sunday, ask for Brittany. She is the BEST. Attentive, fun, and made our experience that much better. We will be back for sure!

Hands down the best restaurant in Asbury Park. We went in for all you can eat crab legs on Tuesday and were not disappointed. Our other favorites include the steak au poivre and the crab beignets. Cocktail list is always being updated, and Carly is the best!

What an absolute banger❤️🔥🤩🥳 From the decor, to the food, cocktails, hospitality and Ocean Ave Stompers on a Monday evening I’m telling you it was pretty magical experience. Carly, our server was amazing and all around good vibes. We started with Cacio Pepe deviled eggs and devoured the ani tuna watermelon salad which may I add is an absolute must have as well as the blackened salmon w/grits extremely delicious that salmon skin chef’s kiss* and extra crispy Cajun wings. Towards the end we shared the tiramisu and 2 affogato. This was our second night in a row because it’s my partner’s bday. We arrived Sunday evening and luckily our Airbnb is hella close. Lindsey greeted us right when we walk in and shown us around, she’s awesome. On Sunday, we sat in the greenhouse (stunning) and ate mussels, ceaser salad w/shrimp, and crawfish roll. Every single item we ordered for the past two days was delicious. Thank you Lindsey for your genuine hospitality And a HELLA BIG WAVE OF GRATITUDE TO CARLY, you made our night. 10/10
