Food was expensive and not enough. Sorry to say but if u paying almost 20 for fried calamari you expecting a little more than 5 or 6. Drinks are all right. Place is clean but chips and cheese was very salty. Was very discouraged to order anything else after that.

We were disappointed to know that this restaurant have changed owners and the entire menu. We drove to Asbury just because we wanted to try their famous linguini seafood pasta. Once there, we discovered that the entire menu changed and they have not updated their google page

We stopped in for happy hour and were not disappointed. We ordered pick and peel shrimp, fish tacos and guacamole and chips. All were done well and very tasty. My wife order a margarita that she enjoyed. We also order the churros for desert that I would highly recommend.

Vegetarian options: There were vegetarian options on the menu.

Dietary restrictions: They seem more than willing to substitute ingredients. My wife is lactose intolerant and they were able to accommodate her.

Parking: Parking is Asbury always depends on the time of day and if anything is going on that day.

Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of seating outside that is accessible.

The concept is great! We were here on a Sunday night which was DEAD. We ordered two bowls and it took over 45 minutes. No one came to our table to address the situation either. Was hopeful but service is extremely slow…

Fried food was very greasy (cooked for too long) and almost inedible. Portions were small. I ate here last year and the food was good, but something has changed and I definitely won’t be coming back.

Great selection of seafood on the menu drew my friends and I in while we were trying to find a spot to eat, and I’m glad we stopped!

The major hits were the lobster roll and fish bites. So juicy, tender and the fish bites had a tasty aioli to dip it in.

The potato skins and fries were golden perfection. Did not have a bad bite of food here!

After being refused service at another restaurant because the kitchen, I guess, decides when they close (it was exactly 9:08 pm on a Tuesday and it was in plain sight that there were still tables who just got sat down and haven't gotten their orders taken yet), we decided to take a walk down Cookman Ave and ended up at this establishment. We were greeted by the hostess/waitress, Paige, and we asked, just to be sure, if they were still serving food. She said yes and she proceeded to ask us where we'd like to sit. We sat outside on the sidewalk and it was a perfect night to be out there.

My friend ordered a salmon teriyaki bowl and it was the perfect portion size. The salmon were nice and chunky, but not too much. Under the salmon was a layer of Asian salad with a tasty ginger dressing and under that was a layer of white rice.

I ordered the blackened sammy and it came with a side of waffle fries. I've never had a fish sandwich before and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Again, the portion was really nice and it was bursting with flavors. I almost felt like I wasn't even eating fish.

All in all, it was a great experience. Paige was really sweet and accommodating, from the moment we walked in till we left and it left a really great impression. I would definitely come back again.

This Restaurants big focus is on serving the freshest catches of the day. From the moment you step inside, you're surrounded by the sights and sounds of the ocean, with rustic wooden decor and nautical accents. The menu is constantly changing to reflect the freshest catches available, with a focus on sustainable seafood practices. 10/10 would come again

THIS IS NO LONGER A SEAFOOD RESTAURANT! They now serve “bar food” (burgers, pulled pork). They kept the lobster bisque, lobster rolls and coconut shrimp which were tasty, but that’s about the extent of the seafood. We specifically went for the raw bar which is no more. From what we pieced together, the new owners changed the menu but kept the name of the old restaurant to keep the reviews.

My husband and I went to The Mainstay on Friday night for a bite to eat and a drink. First of all, for the size of their menu, the majority of their tables are 2-top little cafe tables that are not conducive with plates (especially shareable plates where the bulk of their menu items lay). We ordered 1 cocktail each and 4 shareable plates and I literally said to my husband “we’re definitely going to be bringing some food home”. We did not in fact need to bring anything home, yet we walked away with a $95 bill. The Spicy Tuna Lettuce Cups were delicious, small, and light. The Peel-and-Eat Shrimp was good, but nothing special. The Black Olive and Feta Dip was tasty and came with a LOT of pita bread. However, the Hot Honey Chicken Tender Basket was an actual joke. There were 2 small tenders in the basket and then a PILE of stale disgusting waffle fries- not to mention, the hot honey came out in a single, small to-go packet for self service… FOR $18!! I literally could get a better deal at CitiField. It was pure disappointment. The beverages were pretty good and unique. That’s really all The Mainstay has going for them. If we were to ever come back (rare, and definitely not for a while), it would only be for drinks.Last thing to note, our actual server barely checked in on us. The food-runners and bussers were tending to us far more than our actual waiter- and the restaurant was not even busy. We were able to move to a 6-top table since our little cafe table was too small for the plates, and there were also many other open tables throughout. 1.) There was really no excuse for lack of service without a crowded dining room and 2.) Guess others have caught on to the poor service and prices, and chose to go elsewhere.

Wow, I’ve eaten a lot of seafood in my day, but this place definitely tops it for me! A completely fresh and scratch kitchen. The menu is extremely innovative and delicious!I thoroughly enjoyed the bao buns, and also the mussels they came in an amazing creamy sauce, with bread for dipping, absolute perfection!I love the Aji tuna sandwich, it came with waffle fries, my absolute favorite! The drinks are also amazing as well such as the boyfriend material, trust me just get it!

Best churros! Filled with a creme sauce and sauce to dip them in. They come out pipping hot. The food was OK. I got the chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries.
