Enjoyed a bite before a show at the Stone Pony which is across the street - so a great location. Service was excellent. Ambiance was very nice Food was ok.

Food was very good and prepared well, but some of the flavors were just not our thing- eg heavy tomato sauce for shrimp and grits. Shrimp and grits themselves were perfect.

We had a lovely time. Cocktail menu great. Fried pickles for app yummy. Close to the Stone Pony where we were going to see a show after.

Food was decent. Nothing outstanding. Overall ambiance was okay. Just middle of the road food spot.

Feel like we wasted our money. First off, took server forever to come over to our table. My husband had to get up twice until they finally found her. We had wings which were saltless and flavorless. The biscuits were tiny and dried out like a cracker. My husband had fried chicken which was over cooked and the green beans were so overcooked it looked like they came out of a can. Gross. My shrimp and grits was soupy and just not good. To top it off they allowed the outdoor bar area people who were right next to us smoke cigars. Lovely to breath that in while you are eating. The whole experience was terrible and we will not be back.

After reading great reviews we were excited to try Palmetto. Sadly we were truly disappointed. Went on a Saturday night at 5 pm. Our server was great, but clearly overwhelmed with lots of tables. Took a while for us to order. The prosecco came completely flat. No bubbles. After a complaint and return, the Manager brought over a replacement. Then we ordered hush puppies and were told they were out of them! At 5 pm on a Saturday night? But then somehow they magically appeared on our table! No flavor at all. One of our party ordered chicken soup. It came with 2 tiny pieces of chicken in it and it was cold. When asked to return it to be heated and see if more chicken could be added - we were told -sorry that was the end of it and there was no more! So that was canceled. The other 2 appetizers we got, the crab dip contained virtually no crab and the honey butter lavender cornbread was overpowered with a lavender flavor. At that point, we canceled the remainder of the food order and left. We were hoping for so much better. Maybe it was just an off night? I hope for their sake.

There were some good appetizers like the wings and the palmetto oysters. But the gumbo and the lobster poboy were gsrbage and the service was abysmal. The waitresses may not come back to your table for 30 minutes.

We had a lovely time at Palmetto. The food and drinks were excellent - the fried chicken with gravy and mashed took be back to the South. Service was excellent as well. And then, of course, you're looking out the window at the ocean. So there's that. We'll be back.

The hostess was very accommodating finding my party a great table on a busy night for the restaurant. The service was excellent. Food and drinks were great. We will dine again.

Service was exceptional. Two steps away from the Stone Pony for a pre-concert dinner and drinks.

Good food and drink. Nice location, directly on The Asbury Park Boardwalk. Plus live music is offered here on selected fine evenings .

Overall too loud and crowded. Kids in the bar area and crowds standing over other guest at their tables as they were eating. Food was ok but overall the staff wasn't watching the crowd over flowing leaving other guests annoyed.

Sat a bar first. Bartender could have been a little more attentive. Then we sat at a table. Waitress was good. Appetizers were wonderful. However, we ordered the fried chicken and it was so salty. We should have sent it back, but we didn't. I may go back and give it another try.

Service was poor, we had to have the manager get us water after being seated for 20 minutes. Our server was nice, but not very attentive. We sent our drinks back for being too sweet. It seems a table nearby sent their drinks back twice then decided just to have wine. The crab dip app was good and so was the cornbread skillet. The fried chicken was just ok, it was very tough and overcooked. One of the two pieces had no breading, it seemed to have fallen off. The crab cake entree was good. I was excited for this place but sadly I won't be back.
