Easter brunch was just ok. Made our reservations early for 14 people. We had the earliest reservation (10am) and were on time. When they seated us, we were seated at two different tables that were probably separated by 3-4 feet. I stated that we were one party, so they decided to push the tables together which was really uncomfortable getting in out out of our seats for brunch. Food was eh, service was good. This was our second year for Easter brunch and not sure if we'll go back next year.

My wife and I had our wedding here in November. It is a beautiful venue in a wonderful location right on the Asbury Park beach with great food. However, that is where the positive review ends. The event team there is the reason for the 1* review.Below are all of the issues that we had with Victoria and her team:1. The information packet provided to us listed $1650 as the cost for a beach ceremony. They later changed this and decided to charge us $2000 as we were told the $1650 was "outdated information."2. We were told we had until 2pm on the day of our ceremony to decide on whether we wanted the ceremony Indoors or Outdoors. On the day of the wedding, I called the venue at least 5 times prior to 1pm to discuss plans on indoor vs outdoor, but nobody ever answered the phone or called me back. As a result, the venue made the decision for us to set the ceremony up outside despite it being a cold rainy day. We weren’t even sure if the ceremony was being set up inside or outside until we arrived since nobody answered the phone or bothered to call me back.3. The event team requested that we provide a map and details on where all decor should be set up. My wife provided a very detailed map as requested, with notes on where everything went, which we went over with Victoria during our visit. Upon our arrival to the venue, several pieces of décor were not placed in their designated location listed in the plan and other items like the wedding programs were not even placed out at all.4. There was no coordination between the event team with the DJ & us. For our entrance to the reception, the DJ was asking us for everything, and we had to just coordinate our own walkout with the DJ as nobody from the event team was there to guide us. I did not expect to need to be planning things during our wedding, as we were told that is what our “venue coordinator” would handle as per our package.5. At some point in the night, neither of our coordinators were able to be found. We later found out that they had left for the night, hours before the event ended, and we were apparently left in the hands of the maître d (which we were not made aware of nor were we even introduced to her). During our meetings leading up to the wedding, we were assured that we had the services of an on-site coordinator throughout the night, which was not the case.6. The event team never placed out our wedding favors for guests to take. They were stored under a table and the team forgot about them.7. Cake was not served to every guest even though we were assured it would be. Instead, they put out a few slices on plates in the back of the venue without even informing guests it was available.8. They decided to hang our donuts on some donut wall they had, instead of the stand that we provided. This resulted in most of the toppings falling off of the donuts and onto the table.9. When the team packed up our items at the end of the night, they broke several vases, while others still had a significant amount of water in them that spilled all over other items making a big mess. Additionally, other items were not even returned to us and the staff had no idea where they were.

We are a local architecture firm and held our office holiday party here recently. Having been to the Supper Club for different music events throughout the years, I wasn't sold on how their event planners, Vicki & Libby, would be able to create a warm and inviting place for our 48 staff members in a room that can accommodate 160 guests. But I have to say, they knocked it out of the park! The placement of the buffet tables to close in the space a bit was perfect and they were happy to accommodate my requests when it came to fostering an environment where everyone could choose to casually hang out at hi-top tables, at the bar, in the seated window spaces or at regular tables with their colleagues. They rolled in a Christmas tree for the stage, designated an area for our selfie station, permitted us to add our company logo to their 2 LCD panels on stage, provided a microphone for our speeches, played my specific Spotify playlist for us in their audio booth, etc. We did not pay extra for these items/services. Our add-on appetizer table by the bar was perfect for guests who arrived hungry and needed a little something before the buffet came out. The food we chose from their generous menu was all wonderful. We added a carving station with roast beef, which got rave reviews. The staff was perfectly accommodating that day, even to our gluten free employee (which I had forgotten about!). We chose the open bar tab package which worked out great because half of our staff doesn't drink alcohol. We have a culturally diverse team scattered amongst all ages here and as the HR Manager, it was important to me that EVERYONE had a good time and felt they were appreciated. I received fantastic feedback across the board. Especially from our Owner/Principal. He couldn't have been more pleased. Big thank you to Vicki & Libby for making me look good:)

It had such potential but left much to be desired. We went for brunch with Santa. The dining room itself was very nice and we had it all to ourselves. Unfortunately the table service was nonexistent. Water glasses remained empty the duration of our meal. Followed by the staff breaking down and moving out tables next to ours which was not only noisy but made us feel rushed and unwelcome. The chefs salads were wilted and the roast beef was cold and dry. It was a turn off to watch the staff pack up their own containers from the buffet before we had even finished our meals.Overal a very subpar experience for the amount we were charged.

Recently got married here at McLoone’s Supper Club and it was everything we ever could have dreamed of. The food was awesome (my Italian best friend said it was the best penne vodka she’d ever had - and it was!), the atmosphere was the best for a fun party, overlooking the ocean! Cmon!It was an absolute dream come true, and went so perfectly! We are still so overwhelmed with joy, love & gratitude. Victoria, Libby & Alyssa made this a smooth day and every detail was perfect. I will look back on this day for the rest of my life, with the greatest of memories!! Thank you thank you thank you!! 10/10

I recently attended a wedding at McLoones in Asbury Park, NJ, and I was absolutely blown away. The venue is stunning, located right on the beach, offering a breathtaking backdrop. The staff provided exceptional service, and the food was delicious. Overall, an amazing experience that left me truly impressed.

It was really good this time... Although sometimes they're terrible. The iron whale was awesome, it's gotten so-so since McLoone took over. The food is very good, but the service is totally hit or miss.

Attended a wedding reception here. There was a buffet with a wide variety of choices. The ones that I sampled were all very good. All of the staff were excellent. They seemed to go above and beyond to make the event perfect. The view is gorgeous.

Cold toast on BLT and charged an extra $6 for some added turkey breast. 14.95 is crazy for a BLT but 20.95 for BLT with turkey is outrageous!! Plus 3.95 for a small soda!! Atmosphere is great…prices too

I love this place. First came here over a decade ago, and Tim himself played the piano and entertained and mingled. What a gentleman.I always have the oysters when I come here, but the burgers and salads are also great.Dog friendly, they even have a chicken dish for your mutt if you need to feed it.This is a great place to eat, with phenomenal views, excellent service and food.Kid-friendliness: They are kid friendly, but you'll have a nicer time without your children, so you can sit at the bar and enjoy yourself.Wheelchair accessibility: The rear entrance (boardwalk) is wheelchair accessible.
