Went for first time with 3 friends on Friday night. Place was highly recommended and we were all looking forward to going . Service was excellent , the vibe being in a basement of a house per se was cool also . As for the food, yes , very good, but you can get better food or just as good for half the price somewhere else. Little overrated and over hyped in my opinion. With that being said , we had a nice time and the food was very good .

I felt really lucky to get a table. They told me we could sit on the porch upstairs. It wasn't cold or anything like that. It's very warm. the women came over and read specials to us. My wife ordered clams in white sauce in spaghetti.I ordered the veal rib chop parmesan. The veal chop was great cooked to perfection. My wife's clams and spaghetti was horrible.
Every bite of clam was like sticking my mouth in a sand. We mentioned something to them. The woman said , i've never heard anyone ever say that before. We felt put off, listen This place is not cheap. They asked if we wanted a box , we told them to throw it out. They did Not offer to take it off the bill. I was very disappointed hearing all the great reviews and things about this place.Yes, the rib chop was great. The salad, the woman called it a hoagie On a platter , she wasn't lying , it wasn't all that. The desert was ehhh,
very disappointed.....

Had a wonderful experience at Chef Vola's (BYOB). The food and service was excellent. I had the sea bass which was amazing and the prices were very reasonable for the whole experience... It definitely has that old-school local Italian restaurant vibe. Making reservations was a but tricky but definitely worth it!

This place was highly recommended. We wanted a special place to go for a special occasion. First, there is a required number of entrees that you have to order, which is controlling and absurd, and prohibits you from enjoying the menu the way you want to- and should, as a PAYING customer. Second, the food is mediocre at best, with “overpriced” being an understatement. Don’t waste your time or money.

The bolognese sauce was incredible. I personally LOVED the salad and the pasta. The chicken parm was tasty as well!!! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff was so friendly and accommodating! Will definitely be back!

It was ok. Food wasn't good enough for the price they charge. I understand they've built a name and that's why they charge more for the food, but it was just ok. The service was very good. Huge let down was that you have the downstairs area with an amazing ambiance that would have elevated the experience and justified the prices. You also have an upstairs indoor area which is not as cool, but still feels nice. As for our group, we were put in a porch looking area with absolutely nothing to see but some cheap house decoration paying 20 dollars for spinach in the cold. They shouldn't even offer that sitting area as an option, it made us feel less than the guests that were sitting indoors. Also, not their fault, but there was a very loud group sitting near us that made it very hard for us to even listen to what the waitress was saying. I left very disappointed, it doesn't live up to the expectations.

Would never go back to this place everyone recommended to go here we usally go to Cafe 2825 but they were on vacation. The food wasn’t bad management was hortible my buddy ordered a steak medium rare it came well done he sent it back he waits almost 25 min to get a new one we were all finished with our food his steak still not here I ask to speak to the manager very un friendly lady finally the steak come and it was horrible
After all said and done you think the manager would give a free desert or anything off the steak not at all what a waste of $92.00 for a steak will never go back to this place again and I’ve already told my friends not to go there Cafe 2825 would never treat a customer like that by the way the bill was over $700.00 too and that’s without alcohol. Stay away oh and to top it off we had there special banana desert and it came out frozen we didn’t Evan eat it

Reservation is required for this place and you have to call the restaurant. Overall, I think food is pretty good. My favorite is the sea bass with macadamia. It's slightly sweet and has nice nut crunch. For pasta, the ricotta blush sauce is much better than the bolognese meat sauce. I also like linguini more than angel hair. You can either do the pasta as a side or entree, and entre portion is huge. I ordered one of them as a side but for some reason they brought out two entrees. The mushroom and artichoke with oil and garlic is really yummy too and really helps make the food less heavy. The veal is good but it has way too much cheese imo. House salad is meh. Complimentary bread is really good! They have lots of options for dessert but we were too full to try anything. This place doesnt not sell any alcohol and you can byob. Price is expensive and wait time for food is a little long. Space is a little small.

A good friend recommended Chef Vola's; this was my first time here. It was a wonderful experience. The service...I've never had better. The Italian dishes were the same. From start to finish, a great dining experience. My wife was making plans to return long before we had finished our meal. I was told that this is the best restaurant in and around AC. I tend to agree.

Always a great meal. Definitely worth every penny. My favorite dessert is the Creme Brulee Pie and the Veal Parm is phenomenal.
