Chelsea Five Gastropub

Very mediocre . Heard great things and it just didn't deliver . The lobster bisque,raspberry Bellini and Caesar salad were all good , everything else was a disappointment. We asked for the truffle fries and pickle fries as sides and instead of an up charge we were charged full price . Even the deserts were meh . So disappointed we chose here for our dinner out . The view is great and that's pretty much it .

Had the prime rib special which included lobster bisque and chocolate cake. The lobster bisque had no discernible lobster in it but the flavor was good. The prime rib was decent but a little thin on the cut. The mashed potatoes were really good. The chocolate cake was a little rich and dense. Service was really good. Overall, a good meal for the price.

Always come when in AC. Love the view. Service is A+. Food is always prepared to perfection. Everything is very tasty. My fave is white cheddar truffle fries.

Started with an excellent lump crab cocktail. Their flounder francese is absolutely delicious.

The place is one of the gems in the Tropicana Casino and from the moment you walk in the experience of a great meal happens. I took my wife there for her birthday and JD are server who we have had before and took excellent care of us.Amazing place.

The food was good, but it took a long time to come out over an hour we waited and party of 4 with no appetizers ordered.

Great views, terrific service. the decor is a bit dated but so is the tropicana in general. The filet mignon was disappointing, it had a bioled texture and was clearly not cooked in cast iron. Tender but obviously frozen, not fresh. the salad and fried cheese curds were pretty good. the rolls were horrible, again not fresh. obviously pre-made and baked again so rock hard as soon as they cooled off. The staff was awesome, super great service, but the price for the food I wouldnt eat here again.

Another great experience at Chelsea 5! The food was delicious from the appetizers to the desserts! The service was great! It is definitely one of our favorite restaurants in Atlantic City!

Ate here on Father's day. My wife and I both had the prime rib special . The meal came with appetizer and dessert . The meal was very good and plentiful . Staff was friendly and service was good . Our waitress JD was great .

If this had been our first meal at Chelsea Five, we would NEVER go back! I ordered the shrimp cocktail and my husband the calamari. They brought my shrimp and ten minutes later they brought the calamari. And then 4 minutes later, they brought our entree's. Do we eat our hot calamari or let that get cold so that we can eat our entree's hot? My husband's steak was well done when he asked for it medium rare. They brought a new one, and it was so rare, we brought it home to finish cooking it. The kitchen dynamic was way off, and the Chef needs to assume a leadership position to ensure that the food leaving their kitchen is a meal that they would want to eat. The saving grace through the entire disaster was our server "JD". When we do decide to go back.... we will request her for our server Her level of professionalism and care was A+.

Once again, a perfect meal with excellent service. So glad that the prime rib special is back!

We went for the Prime Rib special on Sunday for my birthday. Waitress was awesome, she recommended a great bottle of wine. Service was great; a lot of helpers. Prime rib was very tasty as was the rest of the food . Would definitely go again. Beautiful view of the ocean.

A very friendly staff that you get to meet as they all have a hand at bringing different sections of your meal very politely. Food was cooked perfectly, not all hot. My wife had to return her meal because it was lukewarm., mainly because a table approximately 2-tables down from us began to get a lot of attention??? Don't know why but, they all seem to go by us and stop there often????

The service was amazing and a great atmosphere. The food was excellent along with the view.

I ordered the filet mignon which was perfect. My wife ordered the prime rib special. The lobster bisque never arrived, the desert took forever, and we had to ask several times for a soft drink. I'll still eat there because I really like it, but they were off their game this past Sunday.
