The coziest bed and breakfast ever !
My wife and I recently returned to the Chelsea after 2 years for an overnight stay in celebration of her birthday. The staff here are so unbelievably sweet ! The day prior to our arrival I called to order champagne for our room. Not only did Lola accommodate my last minute request but she also provided balloons , a card and candy! We had the pleasure of staying in room 211 again which is has such elegance and charm. The breakfast was as tasty as I remembered including bacon, mini quiche, eggs, waffles and more. We also stopped by the bar attached to the inn for drinks and food prior to our event. The bar has healthy pours and reasonable prices.
Do yourself a favor and stay at the Chelsea when ever you are in AC
I have stayed at the Chelsea twice now and I have fallen in LOVE! The themed rooms are fabulous, and clean, the staff is super sweet and the proximity to the boardwalk is great! I love the history of the place, and the decor everywhere in the inn is so electic, fun and vintage. Breakfast on the weekends in the dining room is always plenty and pretty tasty, and the attached bar has yummy food as well, good drinks and great staff. The overall vibes at the Chelsea is just amazing! Already planning my third stay! 💕
Never stayed in the rooms, but the pub is reliable, the food is decent, and the service is fabulous
Stayed here to see The Who. Walking distance to Boardwalk Hall. Have been before and love the character of this place. Lola is a sweetheart. Met Will working the bar and he was so sweet accompanied us outside to the steps to the Inn. We are a little older and he was just looking out for us. Very kind. Breakfast was adequate although I still miss the European touches of the previous owner. The Chelsea is our go to for Atlantic City!
The room was quaint and very cute! We were a little concerned when we saw there was a 24 hour bar under the hotel and ear plugs at the front desk, but we didn't have any issues with noise thankfully. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The only thing I wished for was blackout curtains because the lights were bright through the windows at night. For breakfast, get there a little earlier prior to end time because they do start to clean up early and the options were limited. But they did have waffles, eggs in addition to the normal continental options. Would stay again.
Book with confidence.
The Chelsea is a great little spot, especially if you're running into AC for a concert or show. It's close to the beach and the casinos as need may be. The staff are super friendly, we were greeted and checked in by Will who was awesome and made us feel welcome.
AC is what AC is, so there's no getting around the fact that there are folks struggling there, but the Chelsea is a nice little oasis in the midst of the good and the bad, that gave us a super clean, straight forward, well appointed room as a homebase for our night in AC. This one will continue to be my go-to for my concert trips into AC.
Too pricey, and not too fancy.
Really lovely place to stay, we felt extremely safe at the Inn and had a key for our door and the front door.
Beds were comfy, the manager made sure anytime he saw us that we were happy, and the walk to the beach was 2 minutes.
(Wish I took more photos, the place was stunning.)
It was the perfect place to actually relax 😌 I enjoyed getting lost in the different rooms and reading books from the bookcase. The patio where I could peacefully smoke with my coffee ☕️ was absolutely amazing. Everything about this beautiful place draws you in for a relaxing adventure 😌 ✨️ I'll never forget all the memories ❤️ and I hope to be back for my birthday 🎂 I loved how you could just do your own thing. It's something I'll never forget. The bar was lovely and everything staff member was great!!
This place was amazing. Loved the nostalgic look and feel of the place. It was so comfortable and cozy. Loved the breakfast as well. Simple for definitely filling. The staff were so friendly and attentive. Also love that they have a bar/pub downstairs. It walking distance to the boardwalk which is also a very big plus. Has parking available as well. Highly recommend and would definitely go back.

Took a solo trip to see Ledisi in concert and the Chelsea Inn definitely set the mood for the weekend. This vintage gem was beautiful from start to finish. I can’t even find the words to describe this place you have to check it out for yourself. I truly have NO complaints. The staff was professional and pleasant, my room was immaculate, my bed was comfortable, breakfast was beautiful I enjoyed every part of my stay. The boardwalk is definitely in walking distance and the staff was very informative about the neighborhood and safe ways to travel at night. It was an amazing experience and I DEFINITELY will be back.
Loved the room I was in with my wife in 2009 with a great morning breakfast!!! I miss Jeanine!!! She was awesome! There's an awesome restaurant downstairs and there's even a couple pool tables! I appreciated the music and TV and the outdoor seating area as well!
Close to boardwalk and casinos.
Excellent service
I’m just a nobody so my opinion doesn’t really matter — however , I feel compelled to share my experience. I was having a wonderful time with a local at the bar who was ordering me drinks . Great guy. I guess some new customer who came in didn’t like me ? So the bartender Andy yelled at me like I was a child and got his security to rough me out of there and while I was waiting on my food. I’m 120 lbs & 5’4 .. the way I was spoken to was ridiculous, I don’t understand how anyone should be spoken to in that way. Safe to say, I just won’t come back. I took my bartending class here with the owner michael . He’s always been great to me, and I’m always friendly with the staff . To believe they forced me out alone at night in such an area and didn’t care how drunk they got me , feels a bit illegal . I’m glad I got home ok but sheesh . Andy , that was crazy dude .
