Dock's Oyster House

I asked for my meal to be prepared with no added salt, and it seemed to be acknowledged when I ordered. When the food arrived, however, it was clearly salted and I sat with a lovely plate of food I was unable to enjoy.

I’m not sure whether the request wasn’t communicated accurately or if the kitchen missed it. Either way, a simple dietary request wasn’t honored.

I was invited here as a guest at a party and didn’t want to insult my host by sending the dish back to the kitchen so I was stuck with a dinner not of my liking. The staff were polite, but the lack of follow-through was disappointing.

For anyone with dietary restrictions or medical needs, I’d suggest being extra cautious here.

Great seafood outstanding oysters , shrimp cocktail, excellent drinks my wife loved the halibut special, only disappointment was the crab saute which was too heavy on garlic and salty other then that it would have been a five. Definitely will return.

Historic restaurant in Atlantic City with amazing seafood, great ambience, and nice staff. They have a really good happy hour, but in the summertime you need to get there 30 minutes before happy hour begins to even get a seat. In the off-season definitely check out the happy hour. At night there’s usually a pianist, there’s a great wine list, and everything I’ve ever had has been exceptional and reasonably priced considering what you’re ordering

My waitress was excellent. However, when I needed to use the restroom, I was shouted at by another waitress and told I could not walk through to access it. The situation could have been handled much more respectfully. There is a more appropriate way to speak to guests, and in this instance, her approach was unprofessional and missed the mark.

I was extremely disappointed with my first time at Docks. The bar seating situation was less than optimal. My companion had been to Docks multiple times and was very excited for me to experience the happy hour oyster bar event. We waited in line for over a half hour and when the doors opened the crowd rushed to get seats at the bar. I felt like it was musical chairs at the bar because people pushed to get a spot and we got left out! My companion got a spot but there were other seats being saved. Not sure but it didn’t seem right. I arranged an opportunity to move the one chair next to another chair in a different spot at the bar which should have been handled by the staff and the bartenders were not helping at all. As for the food that I had heard was excellent, well I ordered clam chowder white and clams casino. The clam chowder was not a chowder at all instead it was watery and had very large chucks of celery and onion but only about two or three whole clams. The clams were chewy and less than delicious. However the clams casino was the worst meal ever. First it took forever to come but the presentation was great and it smelled delicious. Sadly I got sand with my first bite, then I checked and every single clam was sandy. I did complain to the head bar tender but all he said was “sorry sometimes they come like that” I would not recommend going to this event or Docks restaurant at all.

This place had great reviews and was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get a reservation last minute. They served us some bread to start out and it was warm and delicious. Toasty on the outside and fluffy on the inside. We tried out a variety of the oysters, fried calamari, and grilled octopus and they all tasted so fresh. The calamari especially was light and crispy! For the entrees we had their special of the day halibut and the flounder with crabmeat. Overall, the food was great quality. Our server was amazing and attended to all of our needs. There’s plenty of street parking around the restaurant. They also had a live pianist which was nice. It was cutely decorated as well! . Would love to try this place out for their happy hour menu

Enjoyable high end seafood restaurant. Excellent seafood dishes and steaks, very nice decor and atmosphere, wait staff professional and it is the dining experience you expect for this level of dining in Atlantic City.

This has to be the best seafood restaurant in the area and it's our favorite place! Food is always incredible, staff is amazing, live pianist makes the atmosphere majestic! My favorite thing to order is the Maine Chowder!

Docks is one of those iconic Jersey shore restaurants that has been around for a very long time. I was here for my birthday and my wife and I both enjoyed it. The prices are a bit on the higher end but their seafood is good quality. The service is also very good. The place is very busy so while the atmosphere might not particularly be to my liking, some others may enjoy it more.

Amazing!!! I loved everything about this place. The staff was attentive, friendly and prompt. The decor. The food was exquisite. No complaints at all. The waitress suggested how awesome the grilled octopus was and let me tell you she did not lie. I hate octopus but it was amazing. The chef came out to thank us for loving his dish. He was so awesome and down to earth. He connected to our table like if we knew each other for years. I ordered the steak topped with crab meat and the steak was just perfection. From the perfect sear to the seasonings and tenderness. But dont get me started on the mash potatoes, whew. He definitely cooked with love. I just kept saying who granny is back there. Lol But than he came out and I was oh ok I see you. 🫶 I will definitely be back. (Forgot to take pic of grilled octopus and desert)
