Where do I begin? The servers were great. Very helpful, attentive and friendly. We visited on two occasions and Kevonna and Yisel were our servers. The cook ,Rodney, did his thing. First the ribs were sooooo tender and flavorful. The chicken wings , you could hear the crunch two tables over...lol. they were delicious. Then breakfast the grits were perfect 👌. Pancakes, fish, beef sausage , salmon cakes were all perfect. This restaurant never disappoints. I give the highest rating for Kelsey & Kim's southern Cafe in Atlantic City, NJ.

The hours of operation are confusing. They differ on the website as well as Google. The food is now a hit or miss. The last time I had turkey chops from here they were extra tough and I could not eat them. I believe they were likely undercooked. This time they were cooked perfectly, however they were salty. I tried mashed potatoes and string beans. The potatoes were horrible....tasted like they were literally made with spoiled milk. The string beans were also very salty. Someone in the store purchased fish & it smelled like it needed to be trashed. The food would be better if other seasoning were used & go easy on the salt. Also curious about them only doing take out during dinner hours. That's the time when people usually want to sit and enjoy their food.

I first came here back in 2016 when I was 16 years old. I had the best cornbread, best waffle, and best fried chicken I’ve ever had in life here. I grew up in Washington where we didn’t have much southern food obviously. I was back here for the first time since then nearly 10 years later and it was still as good as i remembered the first time. Bravo.

ME AND MY BROTHERS HAD AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE FROM THE DOOR TO THE TABLES. THE HOSPITALITY IS UNMATCHED, THE FOOD IS ALWAYS AMAZING. WE LOOK FOWARD TO ALWAYS COMING HERE. BIG BIG SHOUT OUT TO YUZEL (YEEZY) THE HOST, SHE WAS AMAZING, FUNNY AND ALL AROUND GREAT!! FAST SERVICE AND VERY ATTENTIVE TO OUR TABLE. WE WILL BE BACK FOR SURE.!!!!

The food is as good as people say it is and the portions make it well worth the price. I lived in the south for many years and even down there, this would be high quality southern food.

I ordered short ribs and they were spectacular. Tender and extremely tasty. My wife ordered turkey chops and they were also amazing. In fact I ended up finishing that for her at home! Like I said, the portions were plentiful so there was some left days later.

If you like southern food, go. If you never had southern food, go. If you just like food, go!

This was by far in all my years of touring THE WORST Soul FOOD EVER the customer service was amazing I felt welcomed the catfish was amazing but the baked Mac and cheese was horrible and overpriced and also be sure to check your food they forget to put food in your order (my corn bread ) for example but all in all this was a terrible place to go I advise never go 🙏🏽
