If you love soul food, this is a great place to visit. I have been to Kelsey's twice and the food is always delicious. The greeters and servers are extremely courteous. I'm not a drinker, but the drinks Iooked great! I do suggest however, that a reservation is made instead of walking in, unless you don't mind sitting at the bar. This tables fill up quickly. There is also live entertainment during the dinner hour.

We had Kelsey's for my Mother in laws 80th day. It was catered on a boat! Some of the best food I have ever tasted! The fish, the chicken, everything was on point!!

TIME FOR A REAL REVIEW!
Went here due to the reviews about the good soul food and atmosphere. Everything was good including the food. Live music and good vibes made this a good dinner for me. The only issue is parking. The neighborhood looks a bit run down and parking is a bit tough around the restaurant. You also want to watch out for large Raccoons running around the streets and empty lots. If parking was better..this would have been a 5 star review. Be mindful of where you park your vehicle.

If you are ever in the area and you love soul food and a live band. You have to eat hear. There maybe a short line but its worth the wait. They have two locations. The original one I think you can only pick up but I always stop by when I'm near!

I honestly can’t rate the food because I was not able to enjoy it… it never made it to the table before we got up and left. I suggested this establishment to my friends after hearing good things about the food. For some odd reason they have a “walk in” table. Which at first didn’t make any sense since there were several tables open when we arrived. Apparently at reservation only. It was below 30 degrees that night and this particular table was directly in front of the door, just a few short feet away from the welcome desk. Since we were denied twice to switch tables because the night air continuously froze us when parties were entering and leaving, we decided to take the food to go. Even then it was too cold to continue to wait, mind you, I only started one drink (pretty good drink too). My party was cold, got up put their coats on and proceeded to leave, then and only then, were we offered a table in the back. No thank you. While waiting to pay for my drink and talking to THREE different managers, they brought out all the food (DEFINITELY prepared in a rush), with the expectation of payment. That was not happening, my party was literally in the car waiting for me, the front staff was apologetic (who by the way were also too cold to stand at the very same spot they tried to make us eat in front of, they too moved inside and greeted people from a-far waving them to come in), managers weren’t so happy but got over it. I paid for my drink, tipped the lovely waiter who obviously went through so much trouble for nothing and left. Overall, I hate to say it, our people just have to do better! Unfortunately I won’t be returning.
