We just celebrated our wedding anniversary with an unbelievable dining experience at Knife and Fork. Chef, Nick Devine, is a culinary genius. We first had a sampling of Nick’s creative dishes in Seattle where we were blown away by his extraordinary talent. We were happy to learn that he was now a Chef on the East coast, and near us in Atlantic City. So our anniversary gave us an excellent reason to travel a little further for this celebration. All we can say is Nick has achieved the title, CHEF EXTRAORDINARE . His Braised Short Ribs with carrots, mushrooms, bacon, and red wine is unquestionably one of the best dishes we have ever tasted! Although, his Pan Roasted Halibut is a close second. All we can say, is do yourself a favor , go try this great cuisine and enjoy the relaxed, historical ambience, and warm waiting staff. Oh, and don’t forget to tell Nicky how much you liked it!

I’m at the NJSBA and RSVP for dinner and we’re treated horrible. The waiter staff was rude and biased. Our client host was nonchalant so we left.

We LOVE LOVE LOVE the Knife and Fork. We were there this past weekend, and I didn’t take any photos, so these are from a while back, but the place is perfection. We sit at the bar, and if we’re lucky we’re at Jenny’s station. She is an amazing bartender and the drinks she makes are fantastic. They have this incredible bacon appetizer - it’s so good… the food is phenomenal. The first floor is accessible, though there are rooms upstairs that are accessed by stairs. The building is landmarked, from 1912, so they’ve been around a long time, and will remain (hopefully) forever. There are always fun people to chat with. This past weekend sitting next to us on one side was a couple on their second date, and on the other side a couple married 52 years. How I wish this amazing restaurant was closer to our town… sigh. Go there. Eat. Drink. Celebrate special occasions or just hang out at the bar. It’s lovely. Cant wait to return. There’s dedicated parking, we had no trouble parking on the street at this time of year.

1st time at Knife and Fork. Amazing food and ambiance. Crab cake was the best I have ever tasted. Chicken milanese was huge,but the breading kept coming off after every slice. The short ribs were delicious and very flavorful. The peach and ginger cobbler rounded out the meal.
This restaurant holds a special place in my heart due to its history and service, but I won’t be returning. While they kindly accommodated us without a reservation tonight, I encountered a cockroach crawling in my napkin as I tried to sit down. I handed the napkin to the waiter, who apologized, but my husband and I decided to leave. It was unacceptable, and disgusting.
Beautiful spot with a cool history. Amazing food and service. Absolutely love coming here.
