Major issue with timing here. Our waiter was wonderful but the problem here is that despite being off peak time, we received our delicious appetizers and literally four minutes later, the runner brought the entrees out. At TGI Friday’s maybe I wouldn’t care. But when the wagyu ribeye is almost $100 per serving, you would want a moment to savor your appetizer and not watch your steak get cold before you swallow your first piece of sushi. Damn it! At these prices, you’d think they’d work these kinks out. When I brought the issue up, I decided to rename the restaurant “The Gaslight Cafe”. Such a shame.

Restaurant is beautifully designed and clean but the food was only okay (the sushi and dessert saved the meal). Food runners were great and friendly but our server, Mike, was not interested or attentive. His answers were always short and it felt like we were a nuisance. It was a nice place to try once but I don't think we'd be regulars here.

Food was hard to enjoy . Tommy waiter was little interested in explaining dishes :( wife didn’t even like her and didn’t even touch it and he still made us pay for it. Explanation of dish and what came out was completely disappointing. I would choose a hard pass for next time ! But place was nice inside

From now on, this is my must go to in AC! I love high quality sushi and this hit the mark! The fish was tender, not a single piece of fat like you see in cheaper places, amazing presentation, delicious sauces. We loved that everything was small plates and we could try a lot of stuff. My wife doesn't eat seaweed and they were able to replace it with soy paper in rolls. Our drinks were delicious and the waitress was very lovely and helpful and made some fantastic recommendations! All around a fantastic experience!

Amazing experience! All dishes were flavorful and well made. Had the Kaiyo Whiskey Flight… amazing. From the moment we walked in the hostess welcomed us, we had reservations and were quickly taken to our table. Christian our waiter was amazing, it was our first time at Kuro and he took the time to explain the menu and the whole dining concept at Kuro. His suggestions were on point. He checked on us regularly and made us feel welcome and well taken care of the whole time. Would definitely recommend when you’re in AC.

ABSOLUTE RIP OFF; We used to absolutely adore this place until last night, $4 to shake my chilled Tito’s?? An extra $12 surcharge for 2 bourbon martinis??? What is the point of going out??? I would’ve saved the $4 and preferred to shake it myself this is seriously so pathetic. The audacity is insane and the fact that the waiter didn’t say anything while we were ordering is also screwed up, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else this is petty and disgusting.

Been a few times always had a great experience. Keep in mind portions are small so you might need a sandwich afterwards.

Hidden Charges and Misleading Menu Pricing

Recently, we ate at Kuro in Atlantic City. We ordered two Black Cherry and Pomegranate Martinis with Tito’s vodka, which were clearly listed on the menu for $17 each. I was shocked when the bill arrived and the drinks totaled $50 a $16 difference due to upcharges that were never disclosed. At no point did the server mention any additional charges, and nothing on the menu indicated that substitutions or specific liquor choices would raise the price.

This kind of pricing practice feels intentionally deceptive. I don’t mind paying for quality, but I expect transparency. Charging nearly $25 per drink when the menu says $17 is unacceptable. It left me with a bitter taste, I recommend others check their bill closely if they choose to dine here.
