Hidden Charges and Misleading Menu Pricing
Recently, we ate at Kuro in Atlantic City. We ordered two Black Cherry and Pomegranate Martinis with Tito’s vodka, which were clearly listed on the menu for $17 each. I was shocked when the bill arrived and the drinks totaled $50 a $16 difference due to upcharges that were never disclosed. At no point did the server mention any additional charges, and nothing on the menu indicated that substitutions or specific liquor choices would raise the price.
This kind of pricing practice feels intentionally deceptive. I don’t mind paying for quality, but I expect transparency. Charging nearly $25 per drink when the menu says $17 is unacceptable. It left me with a bitter taste, I recommend others check their bill closely if they choose to dine here.

I had an incredible dining experience at Kuro Sushi inside the Hard Rock Casino in Atlantic City! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was elegant yet inviting — the perfect mix of modern sophistication and warm hospitality.
The food was exceptional — every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with fresh, authentic flavor. The sushi was some of the best I’ve ever had, and the attention to detail in each roll showed true craftsmanship.
A huge shoutout to Sean and Simei, our servers, who made the night unforgettable. They were friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Their timing, recommendations, and professionalism took our dining experience to the next level. They truly made us feel like valued guests.

I must admit, I didnt go for the food but in search of a specialty drink made, or so I heard. A wagyu reduced tallow infused old fashioned. My friends and I were on a quest. After some inquires we were asked to visit Kuro. There is small bar in the back, barely. In the midst of kitchen action we met the wizard of concoctions named Alexis. This was the first time I was thanked for asking for a drink. The fashioned he said would take an hour to prepare. In that hour we were treated like friends visiting him at work. Alexis prepared and created cocktails for us. He showed us a color changing exlir. He explained the science of his magic and what preparations were involved in his creations. We were captivated by his enthusiasm and skills. And lastly, we were delighted by the old fashioned. Thank you Hard Rock. Thank you Kuro. Thank you Alexis. It's was a beautiful and unique expirence my friends and I will not soon forget. We will be back for the food of course. Kanpai!

Kuro at Hard Rock Atlantic City is easily one of the best dining experiences in the city, truly NYC-quality right on the Boardwalk.
The food here is next-level. The Wagyu tacos are an absolute must-try, melt-in-your-mouth perfection with amazing flavor and presentation. The spicy edamame was delicious, just a little on the saucy side, and the udon noodles were out of this world, rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The raw salmon was also incredible, super fresh and buttery.
Sitting at the bar is the move. The chef behind the counter is outstanding, not only putting serious care into every dish but also offering samples and explaining the ingredients. It’s rare to see that level of passion and hospitality, and it completely elevates the experience.
The only slight letdown was the lobster dumplings, they came out cold, which took away from what could have been another fantastic dish.
Overall, Kuro is a standout restaurant with amazing food, a bunch of top-tier chefs, and a vibe that matches the best of NYC dining. Highly recommend grabbing a seat at the bar and letting the chef take you on a journey.

Unfortunately this was one of the worst meals I have had in quite some time. The whole dining experience was mediocre and frankly disappointing. The nigiri all tasted the same— salmon, tuna, and yellowtail should all taste different but if I was blindfolded I could not have told them apart. The sushi rolls were underwhelming in flavor and small in size. Drinks were just average. The spicy edamame was the only good item we ordered. Given the price tag, the portions were abysmal. It felt like a knife in the back to pay $300+ for this not-so-luxury dining experience when we could have just gone to a local family run sushi joint and gotten significantly better rolls.
