The food is average quality. And the restaurant staff. Very very bad. Disrespectful. And they do not respect the customer.
Ordered the New York strip steak after asking the server how it was. (Of course he said excellent) There was zero seasoning on this steak. I mean not even salt. When I asked if I could have some steak seasoning to put on it myself the waiter said they were out of their steak seasoning. For a $50 steak I expected it to be at least average. My husband ordered the chicken tenders. They were pre-breaded frozen flat tenders. So disappointed. We will not be back and I encourage you to also pass on this restaurant.

It's hard to mess up a grilled cheese but they somehow did. They should hire Danny to make them grill cheeses

On Aug 2, Golden Nugget sent me an email advertising AYCE crab legs on Fridays at Michael Patrick’s restaurant (see photo). Although the ad said “Limited Time”, a specific end date was NOT mentioned at all, and since the ad said “Fridays” (plural), it was quite reasonable to think that this special would be offered for at least a few Fridays in August. When my cousin and I arrived for dinner on Aug. 16 (after driving all the way to AC from central NJ), the hostess informed us that the offer had ended “2 weeks ago”, which meant the offer would have ended on Aug 2nd (the exact date of the email from GN). Classic bait-and-switch marketing tactics! Needless to say, we won’t be returning to either Golden Nugget OR Michael Patrick’s anytime soon!
As most reviews have stated for the past year, the staff are nice and friendly, but the food is horrible. My chicken parm was serviceable. My partner's shrimp scampi was possibly the worst dish I've spent over 30 dollars on. It had absolutely no flavor, which is tough to do when the main ingredients are butter and lemon. It was basically gruel. I was lucky to have had a gift card, as I would have refused to pay for such god awful food, especially for that price. Not sure what has happened to the place, as the reviews from 2 years ago seem mostly positive. It's certainly not positive anymore.

Had the Buffalo chicken wings appetizer which was good. Although the entree was horrible. My wife had the chicken parm and I had the grilled chicken, no flavor salt couldn’t even help. But the service was top notch. But I would not recommend.

First of all, the food wasn't mindblowing by any stretch. I had the Cobb salad which was passable. At least the greens were fresh. But five of us ate together. There was only one other couple there yet we had to wait for the servers to finish chatting to come take orders. The server was however very polite and kept our drinks full. Which I appreciate. But when it was clear that our meal was winding down, they started to just clear the table. I had to stop them and ask for to go boxes. The nacho appetizers were actually enjoyable. The food was, in a word, ok. But not worth the price. There was no ambience or anything to the place. I get it was one of the few actually open but the experience did not match the price. We'll find another place next time we're at the hotel.

Great service and food. My partner and I had the Philly cheesesteak. We ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture. Chocolate cake for dessert was delicious. Great place for a quick bite to eat before hitting the slots.

So I stay at Golden Nugget often. Its away from the mail strip and its close to the water. I very rarely eat there. I generally go out. Well I wasn't feeling well so I grabbed food from here.First word of advice.. NEVER pay extra for the fries. Its like 5 of them for $3.00.Secondly just dine in. The hostesses at the entrance are not mean but unprofessional. There is a 18% automatic gratuity plus $1.99 carryout fee.I was hungry so I ate here but the food is just meh!
