We stumbled upon Mukashi while waiting for a 9:30 PM show, and I’m so glad we gave it a try! We were so hungry we didn’t even wait to take photos of the food, but let me tell you—the sushi rolls were far better than I expected. They were absolutely exquisite, as were the homemade almond cookies we bought to-go. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying.

Our server, Kenny, was a highlight of the experience. He was fun, sweet, and incredibly attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The overall vibe of the place was great, too. The unique designs throughout the restaurant gave it a cool, relaxed atmosphere that added to the experience.

Mukashi is the kind of spot you might walk right past, but it’s definitely worth stopping in. The food is a solid 5/5, and the prices are incredibly affordable—especially for a place in Atlantic City. It hit the spot without breaking the bank, which is a rare find in a hotel setting!

If I had to point out a negative, it would be the servers gathering at the front to get paid in full view of customers. It’s not the most professional look and would be better handled in a private area, but that’s a minor issue in the grand scheme of things.

Overall, Mukashi feels like a hidden gem—an overlooked treasure in A.C. for amazing food, affordability, and a great vibe.

I highly recommend giving it a try!

Terrible service and customer support. Tried ordering to go and was completely ignored by staff who said they will take my order but accommodated other customers.

Only had sushi so can’t comment on other food. Sushi was not very good. It seemed fresh, however, didn’t taste very well. I’m not familiar with Atlantic City so I’m not sure is there is any better Sushi around. On the plus side. The waitress was very friendly.

Food was subpar at best. My girl ordered the BBQ short ribs and to say they were mostly fat would be giving credit to the fat on them....We didn't want to wait 45 min last time we were here but this time we got right in. We didn't miss out on anything by not eating here the first time!

I ordered my food to go. The Manager, Ms. Yawen was so pleasant, informative and kind as she took my order personally, and making me aware of the 18% forced gratuity that I had to pay, albeit being a take out order which I did not get table service for, thus, was unnecessary. She explained that the Union representing the workers and the owners had agreed on the deal of forcibly charging this gratuity which is totally unfounded and unacceptable in my eyes. She explained it in such a gentle manner, so I understood and paid it.

Good value for money but not amazing in anyway. Food looks better than it tastes and service ok. Might go back but but only because it offe3rs good value for money rather than great food.

This place was absolutely fantastic. Very clean extremely friendly. The service was top notch. If you go my servers name was Tomina ask for her she was the absolute best. I was unsure of what I wanted she help me to decide. The food she choose was superb. Her customer service ice a d waitress skills were off the charts. Service with a smile. The entire staff was kind. The manager runs a tight staff but Emily kudos to you hard work pays off. I love when I spend my money and my money was well worth what I received

It is very good and more than it is different from all the fast food in the place, I love it a lot and more than that I always go to eat at that place in

I visited this location Fri Sept 1st for happy hour. The food was over priced and HORRIBLE!. I only order off the happy hour menu. We literally order one of everything. NOTHING was good and the portions are extremely small for the price. I don't NOT recommend and will NEVER return. Money wasted.

This place is a waste of time. Food is most definitely not up to par. The service was horrible. The portions were microscopic! Leaving out avocado then telling us it’s in there!! NOT!! Then putting an item I ordered on the plate of another person in my party with something she ordered then grabbing her plate as she was eating and saying “Oh this one is yours!” Horrible experience WILL NOT RETURN!! Do NOT recommend. Would not like anyone else to go through the experience I went through.

We stopped by for happy hour at Eastwind’s sushi bar (Mukashi). My friends & I haven’t been here in awhile & wanted to see what was new in their updated menu. We tried one of each of the items on the happy hour menu. Lobster miso soup, tuna tartar tacos, fire cracker salmon, & spicy hamachi we’re all good but the Crispy Shrimp Handroll, was my favorite on this trip. The fried shrimp with pineapple, avocado, & eel sauce was a great combination! We also tried their Dragon roll which was delicious (for the eel lovers). For dessert we had the Mochi ice cream & a flaky, layered cake with mango tapioca. Very tasty. Their staff was courteous & welcoming. From the host Yin, to the manager Emily, to our server Sophie, the service made us feel special. I highly recommend giving this place a visit!

I come to Atlantic City often and always make it a point to visit EastWind while I'm in town. I'm guessing I have eaten here a couple of dozen times over the past few years. Although I would not consider this fine dining, I don't recall seeing it advertised as such. I have always found EastWind to provide good service and good food at a reasonable price. I will continue to support this business.
