Nice quality. I would give it a solid 4 out of 5.
The place is tucked in the outskirt of the main Tropicana casino floor. One has to walk the whole floor to get here.
Not super popular though because it’s pretty expensive ($10 miso soup anyone???)

Tried Ossu while in Atlantic City and enjoyed a mix of sushi, Mongolian steak, and mochi. Everything was tasty and well-prepared, but not quite perfect. The sushi was fresh, the steak had good flavor, and the mochi was a nice finish to the meal. Service was attentive and the atmosphere had a fun vibe. Overall, a solid spot worth visiting — 4 stars.

Loved coming here for my boyfriends birthday dinner, when I mentioned it was his birthday and if we could get a little candle on the dessert, the gave him a free dessert very well decorated for the occasion. The service was great and the food was amazing, I always recommend this when someone is going to Atlantic City, definitely a gem in Tropicana. (You can find it at the end of the casino). Really good experience.

OMW I went to this restaurant and again I was dining alone and the Manager was up front with the hostess and would only seat me at the bar. Rude just rude. I expected much better service from this restaurant and am VERY disappointed. Unacceptable!

Roberto, our server was very helpful in his descriptions of extensive menu. Our choice of sushi rolls and Mongolian beef dishes was delicious and adequate, didn't feel stuffed. Restaurant has a good look and atmosphere, only please change your choice of music? Too loud for such a quiet, peaceful and romantic place. Price was a little bit high, however, all the restaurants inside a casino hotel (Tropicana) are pricy. Ossu was lower than most and well worth the dining experience. We would return without hesitation!

If you are dying for sushi, then this is your place. If you can do without loud drunk patrons and mediocre service, then opt for somewhere else. Not worth the price.

Great atmosphere, apps, everything we have is always great. The rib appetizer is great and the best shrimp pad thai I have had. Wish they were open more days.
For an overall excellent dining experience, I highly recommend Ossu. All the food is amazing, but my favorites were the Yakitori and the Ossu roll. Absolutely delicious. The service staff is very attentive, especially Roberto, who was my server. I could see the manager, Jim, in the dining room aiding his employees and personally making sure that all the guests were happy. It’s nice to see a manager working so hard to make sure everything is running smoothly. Needless to say, but I will be back!
Terrible, terrible customer service. My reservation was at 8:30pm at Tropicana Casino got there at 8:10. Upon arrival they wanted me to sit by the sushi bar with a two year old. Apparently no tables were available. Tried to explain it wasn’t practical for our 5 guests. Manager was called he was very condescending, don’t wanna play the race card but he might be racist. Offered me and my five guests to come back at 9pm LOL. Cancelled reservation obviously never again.
We went as a group of four-it was busy we sat at the bar. The bartender/ waitress was friendly suggesting several things on the menu that she felt were very good. We ordered a black bean clams appetizer that was a special for one or for two. They said it was new to their menu. We ordered it for two We also ordered a surf and turf with asparagus, onions with white rice. The couple we were with received their order promptly. They were enjoying their meal when our clams arrived. We questioned the bartender about the side of the dish she agreed the order was for one although we had ordered for two. They would bring us an additional order. our friends finished their dinner and we still had not recv’d our additional clams or our dinner. We had already asked twice if they could check on our food.16 minutes passed before the additional clams arrived- and then an additional 7 minutes before my dinner arrived. the server handed me the plate and I questioned her she said in a really rude tone blame it on the bartender/waitress it’s her fault- it’s two different kitchens. The plate was all over cooked.
Came here for dinner Friday night—the restaurant decor is cute, loved the ambiance! Service was great, our server Roberto was awesome.
Food was pretty good! For appetizers, we enjoyed the Chili Wontons, Gyoza, Miso Soup and Butabara Yakator. For main dish, the Galbi Ribs were delicious—well flavored, huge portion and the fries were delicious too! Sushi rolls were okay, we did not like the Ossu Roll much—the guacamole added on top made the overall taste weird. The Sushi & Sashimi platter was good. We were celebrating my birthday and they brought out ice cream mochi with a candle to celebrate, which was so sweet!
