Late dinner… so maybe that’s why food wasn’t fresh. Wouldn’t recommend sushi from here if you’ve had good fresh sushi before. Low tier super market vibe sushi. Gyoza and egg rolls were average, wings were lacking flavor. Server was friendly and attentive.

I paid extra for a private booth and was seated directly across from a table of 3 with a DOG. The dog was barking at times and was being fed by the people at the table. It laid on the floor staring at me and my family while we ate. Totally unacceptable, especially since I paid extra to sit at “exclusive seating “. If a restaurant has a policy of allowing dogs to sit in the dining area then it should be clearly posted and they shouldn't charge extra for special seating. Is it even legal to have a dog in a restaurant?

Overpriced! 4 slices of sushi for $33? It was fresh. The 4.7 star review brought me in the door. Sat at the very long bar. Atmosphere was seedy in my opinion. Also ordered the pork belly yakatori. Soon fatty and was not crispy. Sent it back for more grilling. 3 Small skewers. I left there hungry. Find some place else to spend your winnings. Oh, you lost in the casino? Definitely skip Ossu, you'll definitely feel like your on a loosing streak.

Below average food for a steep price. A few un-fresh nigiris for $50. Wonton soup came out cold and tasted sour (?)

The waiters and waitresses here are friendly and attentive.

The bathroom door won’t lock.

None of the food is authentic or tasty. It is in a casino after all?

It’s impossible to reach their phone line. I kept being redirected multiple times for more than 30 mins and yet couldn’t reach their phone line for a reservation modification.

In short: warm sushi.

We have come twice, and both times the sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimi were warmer than they should have been - about or just below room temperature. I think that the sushi is pre-prepared and sits in a fridge somewhere, but the fridge isn’t cold enough. Either way, the temperature really ruins it for us.

There are no windows, the tables are close together, and the music is loud. Also, the service could be more attentive.

This is a great Asian restaurant in the Tropicana Resort in Atlantic City, NJ. The resort is lively with tons of gamblers and dancers. The sushi is among the best I’ve had in my life. The fish was extremely fresh, the rice was good, and the sake was amazing. The reason I am giving it four stars is because the prices are just outrageous. One piece of salmon sushi is $8. That’s ridiculous. A platter for two is $70 with not much fish. It’s good, but extremely overpriced. Would still recommend though!!

Worth a return visit. My wife and I wanted a larger table with more privacy. The place was more than half empty but they wouldn't accommodate us. Regardless, we didn't let that ruin our meal.

DELICIOUS! I have visited Ossu about 5 times over the past year and I can't get enough. The edamame dumplings are unlike any dumplings I've had before, and I love the "Double Down Salmon" roll. They have such fresh tasting food, and after sitting at the sushi bar I can tell they really take their time preparing it. We have always had great service here - everyone is so kind and helpful. Really enjoyed their live DJ. Only critiques are I wish they had a larger dessert selection than just mochi, and my dad has had tough/chewy meat (ex: ribs and Suteki yakitori). Obviously not bad enough to keep us from going back, but just something to note. Will keep visiting and taking people here!

Sushi tasted like what you can get from a supermarket. Miso soup was super salty. Very disappointed in this experience. Will not be returning

Food is excellent. Service left some to be desired. Wanted to charge the meal to the room and was given a hard time due to their misunderstanding. Definitely would eat here again though.

This was my second time dining at OSSU, and it was even better than the first time. The food is delicious, and the music makes you want to get up out of your seat and dance. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Music too loud and irritating. Food was mediocre and pork belly was terrible. Could not talk across table because too noisy. Too dark. Decor was cool but dark and could not appreciate. The worse restaurant we have eaten at in Atlantic City in 25 years. They should go to Nobu at carsars or Kuro T HR to study how to prepare Japanese food

Ossu is a great place to get very well made Japanese inspired meals, unique and delicious drinks, and the BEST mochi dessert I've had. It has a serene, peaceful ambience, great service, and fresh, delicious entrees. Will go again when we're in town!

Ossu was amazing! The sushi and fried rice were absolutely delicious. The waitstaff were so nice and accommodating. The atmosphere was also so cool. We were sat at a communal high-top table but still felt like we had our own space, which was great. Music was fun and was getting us excited to go to the club after dinner. Great experience and would definitely go back!
