Ridiculous! I specifically called before driving there to make sure they were open. Harrah's operator put me on hold five minutes then tells me they open at 5. I finally get they and they look permanently closed to me. How hard is it to give out the correct information. I'm so annoyed!
Way Overpriced for what you get. Half lobster tail was so overcooked it shrunk in the shell, 2 shrimp, 4 teeny tiny potatoes and about an 1/8th of an ear of corn, crab with a small sausage for $70. Presentation was great but hid the flaws. The waiter spilled food on a lady at the table next to us. 4 people came to clean up and not one apology. I certainly hope they comped that meal for them. Not interested in ever going back.
Not worth the money, I have had much better seafood and steak for less. Should have looked at the 2 star rating prior to going.
It's 9/3/21 and I was going to stay at Oceans Resort till this restaurant popped up when I goggled seafood. I should have trusted my head but I let my love for crab lead me; and boy did I make a mistake.
There was no hostest at the front, we were seated late. Blue Crabs were on the description of treasures this place was suppose to have but they took them off the menu harrahs lobby still has them advertised and so does there current write up. I got crab legs with hardly any old bay. When I asked for a lil container it was such a sprinkle it wasn't even worth it. When I asked for a bit more they told me it's a $2 charge. After speaking to the rude manager we just left.
We arrived right at the time they opened. The host told us that since we didnt have a reservation she would have to sit us at the bar or lounge area. We said ok. We then asked if it was possible to get a table in the main dining area. She said no. Ok. No problem. We didnt have a reservation. We ordered the peel and eat shrimp, crab legs, and ribs. Shrimp was boiled and sprinkled lightly with old bay seasoning. -.- crab legs were steamed only with no flavor at all. It came with butter. I asked for old bay to add to my butter so i could dip my crab legs and give it some type of flavor. The ribs were ok. For a seafood place, i was expecting better. I will say that our waitress idalis was awesome and very attentive. Oh and remember all those reserved tables the host told us no way we could sit there.... no one ever showed up to sit in the many open tables they had while we were there.
The worst and most generic food that I've ever tasted. It is way over priced and unseasoned.
Horrible food great customer service good drinks.
Our waiter was excellent when we went Sat night 11/20. Come here for crabs, Dungeoness and snow. Lastly must try the banana rum cake. It is so delicious. Everything else is a hit or miss.
$120 later and we didn't eat most of the food. The 1/2 lobster raw bar absolutely no flavor, tuff as shoe leather. Wife's platter, flavorless scallops, inedible crab legs with soft spongy shells, pale soggy meat without any body or flavor. Overall a total dump. Poor service, waitress couldn't speak English very well. Slow, brought the wrong dish... Avoid at all cost!
Awful! I ordered the flounder, which wasn't really flounder. It was flaky and had tons of bones in it! That was whiting. I'm not stupid. A small cup looked liked drawn butter was really a lemon sauce! Awful! I asked the server what was "summer veggies" that came with it because I cannot have onions. The veggies had plenty of onions in it that I smelled as soon as they put the plate in front of me! I asked her how many clusters is a half pound and she said 2. So I ordered the full crab legs meal but was only given 2. I was frustrated and told her I will just keep the 2 clusters. But she brought me a bill for a full pound! Then told me 2 little clusters was a full pound! C'mon no way that is a full pound! I asked how much for a virgin pina colada because I dont drink. She said $6 and brought me a bill for $78 that included a $10 virgin pina colada that she said was $6! She said nothing about it! ! Nothing was worth it!

Food is excellent. Snow crabs are a few cents under $40.00 for a pound and a half of snow crabs. Sit by the window for a lovely view of the bay as you enjoy dinner. They have a bar that serves frozen drinks such as a virgin pina colada. I would definiely go back again. One Negative: they are only open on the weekends.
Great food & drinks!! I was unsure about eating here after reading all the bad reviews. But we ate here last week and the food was sooo good! The seafood was seasoned well and those potatoes Omg! Chef kisses lol The only reason I didn't give 5 stars, Because the menu didn't have many options.
We were looking for a place to grab drinks and hang out, so we stopped at Rum Point to give it a try. On first appearance the place looks fun and has a great view of the bay. Unfortunately the $14 strawberry basil lemonade cocktail was awful and no one knew how to make it. they asked to see my menu for the ingredients and then went to the back to locate the lemonade. It tasted like basil water. It had no flavor of strawberry, lemon, or vodka. My husband got a margarita and it was very sweet, probably made from premixed margarita. The bar top was extremely sticky, the wait staff/bartenders were no where to be found after they dropped off our drinks and the one other customer in the place was complaining to the manager about her bad raw seafood. I honestly stopped drinking my drink after a few sips for fear of getting sick, I would never eat here.
we are fairly local to the area, and have eaten here a few times. Was always a pleasant experience. So, not like that anymore. They say on the website "savor fresh seafood caught in our own backyard ... ingredients from local hotspots'. Gee wonder where the Lamb Shanks, Octopus, chicken and beef sliders are from. They used to have fabulous salads - one I think was the Green Goddess. Nope, no more - so a disappointment. Very limited main menu now, basically no fish, oh yeah a crab cake. Shame on us to not look at the posted menu at the desk. But we should have known it was good when No One Was Waiting - and it a Friday night. Bartender was very nice and understood as we just paid the bar bill and left.
Do not order the crab cake, it’s a hockey puck. You can tell the chef attempted to cook while the frozen. The Crab cake for sure not worth $28.99. The sliders where great.
