my partner and I visited last week, in the hopes of having a nice last minute dinner while we were in town. we wanted something special but local, and this was the perfect choice!right off the bat I was optimistic about having a good meal, as the service was very personable, and the decor/music was just right. that was definitely a relief since it seemed like a slow night and that can sometimes be awkward.our orders were spectacular! we enjoyed literally every crumb off the dish. the artichoke was as good as mentioned in other reviews, despite that not always being a favorite of mine. I loved the crab balls too which were such a beautiful balance of rich and savory but not too heavy. and of course, the milanese I got as a main was magnificent - cutlet perfectly prepared, and the flavors all so bright and delicious. and a nice change from the red sauce I usually order at italian joints.all in all, I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place, and I hope to get the chance to revisit soon!

Charming bayside locals joint in AC!As a native to AC who has moved out of the region AC has some delightful surprises, even for the non-casino crowd. The concierge crew at the AC Convention Center recommended Scannicchios for a Thursday night post conference dinner. It was heartwarmingly friendly and the food was sone of the best in AC. Trust me I would know…. Long ago an old BF was the chef at Doc’s Oyster House. If you are looking for a home away from home, you could not ask for a better crew than their Thursday night trivia teams. Fun. Relaxing. Real folks who are friendly and cool. Enjoy!! Pro tip they will be expanding over the summer to make more room for more fun with more people.Dietary restrictions: The burrata and the pork were made perfectly for my gluten free allergy. Thank you!

This Place was the best place I ever went to in Atlantic City outside the casino areas. What a vibe. It makes you not want to get out of your seat. Reminds you of your Sunday family dinners with an explanation point. So much fun and attention to making sure you come back. New owners are from South Philly and are a blast to be around. The food, well is probably the best i ever had with my party of 6. Great place for food, entertainment and cocktails. You can stay and have a blast all night. They are expanding into a bigger area right next door!! Up and coming this is a must go to

Went for dinner. My wife had the Bronznio special, and I had the stuffed calamari Fri Diavolo both absolutely delicious. The stuffed artichoke is the best we have eaten. The place is small. Expect it to be loud and tight, but some of the best Italian food will eat. Mangia!

Took a shot and chose a place off Yelp and was not disappointed. Special veal Diablo and veal saltimbocca with a nice house Chianti. Small but cozy and staff beyond friendly and attentive. Looks like they are expanding and changing the name. Wish them the best!

This place was Great! Had the Seafood Alla Scannicchio, their 7 fish dinner. Perfection!!

It's exactly what you want it to be! Old school Italian in a bar that's a separate entity, odd but it works. All apps were really good. Rolled with the Chicken parm dinner. It was good but chicken was a bit overdone. Was with a large group and everyone enjoyed their meal and I would be Reiss if I didn't say the service was also exactly like you'd think. Friendly, informative and so far from stuffy. This is a good neighborhood joint!

Clean, beautiful scene over the ocean. Very bright and food was quick and good. Parking is tough, not many spots.

My husband and i dined here for the first time on 12/08 The place is small but cozy We loved the old school feel and the Sinatra music playing overhead We met the new owners who were more then nice , extremely accommodating Our server was amazing and the food was just as good one thing i would suggest is for them to expand the wine selection other then that this place is awesome and we will be back for sure

Slow service. Very tiny and tight space. Espresso was not authentic and tasted like a K Cup not through an Espresso maker. Server didn't know limencello cake was made with limencello. I ordered seafood linguine in white had no taste or seasoning.

A really good restaurant with excellent food and Gina, the best bartender/host/server/joke teller in Atlantic City. Started off with escargot which were tasty especially with the Italian bread and butter. Got the special Veal Chop Parmesan which was probably the best parmesan dish I've ever had and the chicken saltimbocca, excellent as well. For dessert had the ice cream bomba and tiramisu, both very good. Only negative would be that it was quite expensive, which would keep me from going more often, which I would like to do since we had such a great meal, a fun experience and really good service from everyone at the restaurant. (P.S. Gina, thanks for ruining hot dogs for me???, -Jason)Parking: Free street parking but use caution as this is Atlantic City

Party of 4 came here for dinner, super amazing time. Very small place, definitely call for reservations. Appropriately priced, perfect portions. We felt satisfied but not overstuffed and good value for our money. No one left with leftovers. I had brajole, had never seen this on a menu before! Super good. We also had chicken parm, gnocchi, Caesar salad, fried meatballs. House wine was meh but hey what do you want for $20. Was perfect ambiance. Felt like a small cozy Brooklyn kitchen. Service was friendly and fast. We will definitely be coming back here as we stay in brigantine for vacation but want a break from casino dining. Wayyyy better than that! Home cooked fashion. Check them out!!!
