Easily my favorite restaurant! Our meal was exceptional. From the beginning of the meal we knew we were going to enjoy our night. Service was top notch (as it always is) and the food is expertly prepared. At Cafe Loren the food is consistently delicious. The portions are generous enough to feel satisfied. But not so big that you cannot try something from each course. And there is always room for dessert. We try to have dinner at Cafe Loren whenever our schedules allow. PERFECTION!!

The menu is relatively small, but something that everyone could enjoy. All our appetizers & entrees were DELICIOUS, wonderfully prepared with just enough innovation. Service was a little slow but not uncommon for the off season at the Jersey shore when it is difficult to find staff. Our waitress was lovely though & very helpful. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Went there years ago and finally had a chance to go again. Everything was wonderful. Great service, very delicious food, nice environment. Highly recommend! Still as lovely and delicious as the last time I was there!

Cafe Loren is outstanding. If you are seeking gourmet meals at affordable prices, this is your place. The ambience is great and service is exceptional. It is BYOB but conveniently located close yo a liquor store to grab wine to accompany your meal. Plan ahead though - reservations are a MUST!!

Started out with the grilled octopus and scallops which were very good. Our main courses were the Veal Loren & Lobster and Shrimp BLT Scampi and both were outstanding, very flavorful and cooked just right. Cafe Loren had good size portions for the appetizers and main courses.

We had a fabulous experience with both our dinners and with our service! Our main entrees( salmon/ scallops) were absolutely delicious! The menu itself was unique and innovative which makes Cafe Loren very special. My husband and I were celebrating our belated wedding anniversary with our friends. Our server Michael surprised with a wonderful dessert for all of us to share.This was a perfect evening, thank you!

It was a fabulous dining experience. While we consider this our favorite restaurant in Avalon the issue is always making a reservation because it's booked so far in advance. Now that the summer season is over we were able to get a Sunday night dinner reservation at a decent time and the restaurant didn't disappoint us. Still our favorite place. Fabulous blue butter crab appetizer and a delicious Halibut entree which is part of the regular menu. Highly recommend Cafe Loren.
What a pleasant surprise. Exceeding my expectations for dining at the shore. Preparation attention was given to all the dishes we enjoyed. Amy our server worked a full dining room, but she provided us with excellent service.

This is a very nice restaurant, the food and service are outstanding. That said if you happen to be a party of two you will likely be seated in the front of the restaurant or along the wall towards the back room. These spots are all ok with the exception of the table directly across from the kitchen entrance. In the future I would refuse to sit there. It was non stop traffic walking to and from the three kitchen doors. It was distracting and quite annoying. At one point a guy in what looked to be work shorts (he kind of looked like he might be a plumber (no offense to plumbers), hung in the entranceway talking to someone in the kitchen for a few minutes. This place is too expensive to be seated in a spot like we were. The owners should put a screen of some sorts outside the entranceway into the kitchen or remove the table we were seated at.

Have been going to Cafe Loren for special occasions for many years. They have yet to disappoint. Food is consistently terrific and the service has been exceptional through the years. Last night's dinner for 5 was no exception. Five different entrees and every one was delicious. Highly recommend Cafe Loren.
