We had heard so much about The Diving Horse but never made it until now. Worth the wait. Everything was delicious. We had the Brussels sprouts and broccolini, beet salad, sea scallops, chicken Milanese, and the homemade Kit Kat dessert. Amazing!

outstanding- as usual. wonderful waiter and between us- we tried almost every main course on the menu- no disappointments. the crab wedge salad is my favorite in the house- and lemon sorbet divine!. will have to wait til mother's day next spring now!

10/10!!! This restaurant is one of our favorites in Avalon! Food is amazing and the staff is incredible.

Another excellent meal at The Diving Horse. Oysters, Rib Eye Steak Special, Halibut, ice cream and TDH kit kat bar were all great. It was quiet since it coincided with the Eagles game which was quite nice. We love TDH. Difficult to get in during the summer without a lot of advanced planning so this was a perfect end to the summer. Bella was our server, and she was terrific. TDH never disappoints.

Food was fantastic! Our waitress Joanna was exceptional and made our first time at this restaurant a true delight. Will definitely be back.

The portions were very small and VERY expensive. I was with my family and some of us were still hungry after we ate our meal. We chose this restaurant based on their reviews of others who have Celiac disease and they did do a good job of making sure that the food was prepared properly. Based on the expense of the meal, I do not think I will be going back again.

My wife and I spent Labor Day weekend down the shore, and The Diving Horse was once again the highlight of our trip. We had first gone earlier in the summer and loved it so much that we knew we had to come back. It was just as amazing the second time.

I ordered the steak, which was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. My wife had the Chicken Milanese, and it was just as incredible. The breading was light and crisp, the chicken was juicy, and the whole dish felt fresh and balanced.

The atmosphere and service made it even better. The restaurant has that perfect mix of relaxed shore energy with a touch of sophistication, and the staff was so welcoming and attentive.

It’s rare to find a place that makes you excited to return within the same season, but The Diving Horse has become exactly that for us. It’s a true gem and one we’ll make a tradition every summer.

Steak cut was extremely fatty, and some of the dishes were off the charts too salty, while other dishes were bland.

Went for dinner while we were vacationing and it was absolutely amazing. Best roasted chicken I’ve had. The atmosphere, staff and overall presentation was by far top rated. Our server was so sweet and so friendly definitely recommend. We heard it was difficult to get a table by just walking in so we had made reservations prior to being in the area and was seated immediately, but while there so many folks walked in and was also seated promptly.

One of the best dining experiences our family has had. Food was outstanding and service was impeccable. Shockingly, it was our first time dining at The Diving Horse, this after 20 years of coming to Avalon. It will now be our new annual tradition!!!
