I would easily say this is the best restaurant at the Jersey shore… Just amazing quality with 5 star service Every time we go back it gets even better

Our dinner here was absolutely delicious. It was one of our favorite restaurants we visited in Stone Harbor/Avalon. Everything was so fresh and the service was amazing!
The cornbread was seriously one of the best things we ate our entire trip - it is a MUST! We talked about it for days.

Went to Diving Horse on a Sunday night for a last minute dinner with our party of 3. Little did we know, we would be treated to an evening filled with laughter, delicious food, and great service and company found in our server with the mostest, CHRISSY! Chrissy made our Diving Horse experience feel like a personal dinner party between old friends. She was attentive, had great knowledge of TILE FISH and the whole menu, and was so kind. We had one of the outside communal tables to ourselves, which left plenty of room for the friendly staff (shoutout Hannah!) to banter with us and make great recommendations. The food was delicious as always, though we thoroughly enjoyed the fried green tomatoes, tuna crudo starter, and the much beloved Kit Kat. All in all, it was the perfect night! A summer must-have, ask for Chrissy!

Outstanding dining experience! Food was incredible!
Drove from the city just to get a second taste at this restaurant. Exquisite composition of scallops, to die for cornbread, refreshing salad and inventive rendition of fried green table. Happy to say this is one of the best restaurants at the shore and beyond. Excellent service with knowledge of the menu. Don’t miss out on outside dining in the beautiful courtyard.

Where do I even start? First off, if you're coming here on an empty stomach, let me save you the trouble: just don't. Seriously, turn around and find another place to eat. By the end of your night, you'll have finished all the items you ordered and still be hungry. The portions are ridiculously small and overpriced. I left feeling like I had barely eaten anything, despite spending a fortune. Save yourself the disappointment and find somewhere else to dine. Lucky for you Circle Pizza is right across the street and you can get a whole pie for the price of 1 of your side dishes.

When dining at the Jersey shore (specifically Avalon/Stone Harbor) it's hard to find a really good food experience, in my opinion. And every restaurant is overpriced. Paying $$$ for mediocre food is extremely frustrating when you can make it better at home. BUT the Diving Horse is the exception: fabulous execution on imaginative dishes. Still very expensive, but at least it's quality fare. Hard to get in during peak season, plan ahead.

Excellent dining experience from upon arrival, Emily was so pleasant and inviting. Our server Travis was excellent with his recommendations and so personable! Short rib was so tender and portion was generous, the halibut so fresh, poached and just simply so flavorful! The Kit Kat dessert sealed the deal! Will be back!:

Great dinner as always! The apps were great! Entrees super. We had 4 different entrees at our table (scallops, short ribs, halibut, and tuna) all perfectly prepared. So glad they are back for another summer season!
