I visited their stand at the Colorado Springs farmers market in Old Colorado City this morning. Saw they had sourdough for sale and was excited since I’ve only been able to purchase it from one bakery in town. Buy the loaf, head home, just to realize I was scammed. It’s white bread. Either this bakery is blatantly lying about offering sour dough, or the person manning the stand has no clue what they are vendoring. I am so disappointed and out $7 best spent elsewhere. I’ll be buying my sourdough from the tried and true Provisions Bakery in downtown.

New location but still the same fantastic donuts and delicious pastries to eat. It’s a little further for us to go but well worth the time and mileage to get there. A must visit for those who haven’t been and a revisit for our crew every weekend. Keep up the amazing work and thanks for the love extra handles by the end of the summer.

My family has been going to Kohlers since the 1960s but sadly a lot has changed under the new owners. The cream donuts are smaller, have less cream, and they have a weird aftertaste, like there's a different ingredient in the mix. The texture of the donuts is different too, not as soft and light as before. The prices are higher too! It's a shame to see how this Avalon tradition has changed for the worse.

Disappointment now that the company has been sold. Big let down…just like the Phillies.

$3.25 for one small doughnut?? Seriously? $40 for a dozen? This place only survives in Avalon. Delicious but way overpriced. Loved this place forever but this feels like "everyone in Avalon is rich so let's charge a ridiculous price and see if they are stupid enough to keep buying."

If you are on the fence about visiting this small shop, do yourself a favor and go. You will not regret it!

Their cream filled donuts (what they’re known for) are some of the best I have ever had. What I wasn’t expecting, though, was amazing crumb, sticky buns, and cinnamon buns. The cinnamon cream is out of this world!! I could seriously eat a whole bowl of it

Pro hack: order the cinnamon twists with a side of cream to dip in. You’ll thank me later

Not what it used to be.

I have been wanting to try this place for quite some time! Finally went out of the way just for the crème doughnuts and am sadly extremely disappointed. The donuts were very (very) dry and almost stale, barely had any cream and/or jelly filling. Sticky buns were dry. Cathy’s 14th Street Bakery in OCNJ has my vote for the BEST crème filled donut, they are always guaranteed pillowy fresh, unlike these. What a shame, a waste of $53 on a dozen donuts and 6 sticky buns, we wound up throwing out.

We bought Kohlers Avalon NJ donuts for years. Fantastic! Under new owners everthing has changed. Our 20 donuts cost $65. Seriously expensive, but there is more! One of our jelly donuts had no jelly and the rest had very little jelly. The choc covered cake donuts were terrible cause the choc was so sticky and had no flavor. Lastly, the cream donuts had lots of cream (yeah) but the second of my creams had an off taste. So sadly we will never go back after 13 years of wonderful donuts. We are bummed.

The quintessential Avalon experience. Staff so friendly and pastries beyond compare. Daughter in law back in Baltimore about to have baby- only wanted their cinnamon buns. Done and better than Pitocin, baby came!
