Went here for a family meal. Had the lobster bisque and the scallops. The lobster bisque was good. Nothing special. No lobster chunks or anything like that. The scallops were way overdone. They were like little rubber balls. They did not seem to be fresh. - likely frozen. They were perfectly uniform. Really not edible. The baked potato had no flavor. Cole slaw was average. I should have complained but didn’t as other members of the family love this restaurant. It is the second time I’ve been there and my experience was the same the last time. I will not be back. A couple others that went felt the same about their meals. The best part of the whole meal was Sam the waitress. She was outstanding.

I didn’t get any pics i am so sad about that! First i would like to start off that JoJo was an amazing server. The clams were delicious. We ordered calamari which was extra crispy! My husband had the fried flounder, my daughter had the lobster roll and my son had the lobster grilled cheese. The lobster was delightful but the grilled cheese was outstanding. I had the homemade crabcake! Wow! So Good !!

So good! Both the Maine and Connecticut lobster rolls were so good as well as the steamer app. Visited from out of town and will definitely be back on my next trip!

They will not seat you if all your party is not present. The tactfulness of this request was not professional and left a bad taste in our mouth. The chef turned it around around with amazing food and our server was the outstanding.
Hopefully constructive feedback on hosting will get you closer to 5 stars.

I got the new England clam chowder which was amazing so good my mom got a cup too. Sadly that's where the positive aspects end. My salmon special was overdone and tasted burnt on top. The crab salad was clearly canned crab and they put the balsamic on the crab to make it taste even worse. The service was excellent our waitress was very attentive and the take out looked amazing. But the bad entrees are really what disappointed me on my first visit.

Ordered twice. Both times the sushi grade tuna was very disappointing. First time, gave them the benefit of possibly just a bad cut but after a disappointing second shipment will not order again..

The food taste was great, however it felt like we were all eating in a giant walk-in freezer. The temp was uncomfortably cold the entire time we were there. It was as if it was 100° outside and the place was so busy and crowded that the door was constantly open, however we were one of only a few tables in there and it was late August and cool 70° outside.

So upon entering you are greeted by a pleasant hostess and behind her is a comprehensive array of take out options. To the right is the understated dining room with sad looking tables, dented and chipped, poorly laid vinyl plank flooring and dirty ac register in the ceiling. Aside from this the kids meal pasta is the same price as dinner but a tiny portion, it’s honestly completely off base. On a positive note the lobster roll, although on a mini sized half cut roll, not a split top, was flavorful and loaded with lobster. The fried scallops were perfectly flashed fried and served with fresh white corn[sadly not cleaned of the many strings so a challenge], but still flavorful. Both big positive is the use of Kelchners tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. A perfect accompaniment. Some of the scallops were split sure to poor shucking but seems impossible to find great scallops, but these were still 8.5/10!! The decor and loud dining room are big drawbacks and some attention to it would help along with some sound deadoning panels. You’d be better off, ordering takeout and having it at home because the overall food is pretty good.

A no frills, great seafood restaurant l. Looking for good food for a decent price? Look no further. On our week that we visit Stone Harbor we always make time to come here at least once. The food is great, the service is friendly and fast, and the prices are definitely reasonable. I'd recommend coming here, but if you can't get a table or want to eat at home ordering take out would be great.

Our family was excited for seafood night and we made a reservation at 8:00 PM for 6 people. The service was friendly, but the restaurant was dead empty on a Friday night in the middle of summer in Avalon (which should have been our first clue). Unfortunately, the food was below average - it reminded me of bad diner food. The Old Bay Wings were devoid of chicken, basically fried globs of frozen garbage. The Fried Shrimp were ok, the Clam Pasta had the three smallest, saddest clams in America on top of canned clams - it was flavorless and the pasta was out of a box. One member of our party ordered Steamed Jumbo Crabs, which as everyone knows, takes a long time to pick apart and eat. Apparently the restaurant "closes at 9:00" because the staff yelled it at us as he was finishing his meal, which apparently was very inconvenient to them. It was the oddest thing I'd ever heard in a restaurant and it came from behind a cloth curtain like the Voice of Oz. Very off-putting. Unfortunately, I'd recommend just about every restaurant in Avalon over Oceanside Seafood, and we have dined at every single one. Do yourself a favor, for basically the same money, go across the street to Il Posto, it's absolutely fantastic.
