Outdoor dining was very pleasant. Our waiter wasn't as attentive as he could be but our meal was delicious. The special was perfect although pricey. The tiramisu was excellent.
Polpo has become a family tradition during our beach vacations, and for good reason. The atmosphere is lively, the service is excellent, and the food is consistently delicious. It's definitely worth an evening out. That said, we were disappointed with our experience this time. We ended up waiting nearly 40 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. Prior to arriving, we even called to let them know our hotel shuttle was running behind and that we would drive over instead....
Let's face it. The overall quality of restaurants in Avalon and Stone Harbor often leave something to be desired. Not so at Polpo. Everything about our evening, the food, the service our waitress Emily was first class. They didn't miss a beat.
