I love Shorebreak! Everyone is always so nice and accommodating and the flavor and quality of food are both consistently decent depending on what you get. A little pricey, but that's just how Avalon is in general. Definitely my go-to place for pizza, parm fries, and shirley temples!

Do they make a 6th star? Shorebreak deserves it. Where do I start? Service is top notch from the first person you see, to the waiter/waitress, to the folks that bus the tables, to the person at the register! Even the chefs and people in the kitchen are awesome if you duck your head into the back and say hello! Abby was our server, and I think we've had her serve us before. Friendly and patient and pays attention to every detail. You can ask for a bucket with ice for you BYOBs, but they also serve soft drinks and juices. The menu is full of stuff, with little redundancy, and everything is made how it should be. I mean just bc chicken nuggets and fries are both made in the fryer, they don't necessarily get cooked in the same manner. We ate tuna nachos and ahi tuna appetizers and I couldn't believe how a) well cooked the tuna is, or b) the utterly beautiful fish that we got served. As a special I had a blackened burger and it was as juicy as it could be without soaking the bun, and becoming a mess. Less is so much more when it comes to needing napkins. Pizzas are outstanding and even the side salads are crispy and full of life. A million years ago, this was a great hoagie and deli place called BJ's, I believe, and the BJ's folks would be proud of the kind of place Shorebreak is. If there is a wait to get seated and eat, do yourself a favor and gladly wait. Also, do not pass on the rice and beans...they're delicious! Thank you, Shorebreak, we can't wait to be back!!
Update - on a Wednesday at 11:50am, they drew a sun around my wife's name on the to-go bag. I posted a picture of it. It's these kinds of personalizations, and for no reason, that separate businesses in a saturated market. A+!

My husband and I have been to Shorebreak many times over the years and we’ve always had a wonderful experience! The food is really tasty. He loves all of the jerk chicken dishes and I loved the pastas and pizzas I ordered. Their dishes are traditional (in a good way) and tasty and the prices are reasonable compared to some other places nearby. Our server was super friendly and attentive. We usually eat on the back (covered) patio, but the inside looks like it has been updated. A hidden gem in Avalon!

Great service. Attentive service. While I'm not typically a fan of thin-crust pizza, this was perfect.
Great casual place with a varied menu. Also BYOB. They have a nice covered outdoor patio in the back. Unfortunately they do not make the island slaw anymore. That was my favorite. Sorry, Shorebreak, but you are no longer on my list of favorite places in Avalon.

We got a basket of fries, wings, and coconut shrimp. Food was good but the portions of the wings and shrimp were small for what the price was. Also 2 tables of shrieking kids right behind us and across the way. Parents were sitting near both tables but only told the kids to quiet down after they'd been stared at by multiple other tables. Definitely a good family place but if you want a peaceful meal I would go elsewhere.

This place is great. We had some time to kill before checking into our hotel, so we stopped in for lunch. The Sunday pizza special was great. Pizza was delicious and you would have never guess it was less than $10.Though it was a bit of an afterthought when we ordered, the cheese curds were a highlight. In face, they were the best I've ever had!Add in a good local beer selection and great service and this place is a can't miss!

My first time eating and let me say it was fantastic!The j*** chicken platter had a good portion of everything especially the chicken surprisingly and the shrimp corn chowder was off the charts…… really good! I will be back!
