Food was not good and very small servings for priceCrab cake was not all the way cooked.Server was very nice though. We won't be back.
Good food....RC Cola, haven't had it in years.....just as good as I remember. I thought I little pricey for the portion size but still good.....waitress was absolutely rude....never even checked on our table until we were done eating and still had to wait 15 mins for the check....would definitely return as long as she didn't wait on us.
This is a family staple and we were excited to go back this year. Food is no frills in that it's served in a takeout container, but it's delicious. I had the swordfish special (my first time trying it) and it was delicious and tender. We also ordered the tuna appetizer which was amazing. Service was fast and even though we had a large party (14 adults and kids) everything was correct.
The freshest, most perfectly cooked seafood on the island. Minimalist and perfect.
Great fresh seafood
A little disappointing. Expensive, small portions, not very comfortable. Food was eatable but not worth the cost paid. I would not recommend Sylvester's, and we will not return.
Always a great meal! Nice menu selection. Never had a bad meal!
I was expecting so much more from this restaurant after checking menu, reviews, pictures and prices. I went from being super excited to extremely disappointed in minutes.Fried combination is as you can see in the picture, 1 crab cake and 2 flounder pieces, small cole slaw and small fries. Crab cake was flavorful and really good. Flounder tasteless, not even salt.Linguini combo was the worst decision of the menu and worst pasta that I tried ever. Overcooked pasta with no salt, no flavor. Seafood was tasteless as well, shrimp overcooked, but seafood was fresh at least. I even asked for extra marinara to try to compensate the flavorless of the whole thing. This dish is almost as if you asked for everything on the side, since they cooked the pasta with just water, put steamed seafood on top and 2 marinara spoons on top. Nothing is mixed and everything flavorless. Almost pasta as puree. My bread roll with butter was more flavorful than the actual dish.Worst part, these 2 dishes were more than $50. (tip, neither drinks included).
Very casual, but the best clams and crab I've had in a long time
We went to another seafood place for dinner and it was told as the best place around it was good then we came here and it was amazing the fish tacos were amazing the crab was good and the salmon was the best I ever had I would recommend we spent half the money we did at the other place also

Love this place! The food is outstanding and the service is always impeccable! If you are anywhere near Avalon this should be a must-stop for dinner and/or take-out! I highly recommend!!!
Nice people, great quality seafood, amazing crabs! Will be back !
King crab was delicious! Perfectly cooked, sweet, and juicy! We stopped by for dinner before driving back home after spending the day at the beach. Nice casual setting with covered picnic table seating outside. Perfect spot to eat when you’re only in town for the day, but want to get a really good seafood dinner. Even the fries were done perfectly! Very friendly staff, all following the proper safety guidelines for social distancing. We will be going back for sure!
Wonderful, and delicious, selections of fresh seafood sandwiches and platters. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. We love it here!
Love the seafood here, especially the king crab legs. Picnic table style, served in styrofoam boxes or baskets. Decent prices. Nice staff.
