My stay at Delta Hotels by Marriott Basking Ridge was delightful, but the true gem was their restaurant! Forget overpriced hotel dining - this spot offered delicious, affordable dishes that surpassed any outside option. From the serene atmosphere (thanks to the smaller crowd) to the attentive service and delicious food, every aspect impressed. The hot buffet breakfast was a lifesaver - delicious, varied, and budget-friendly. Skip the tourist traps and treat yourself to this hidden gem. Your taste buds will thank you!

Awesome and extremely friendly staff! Thank you!
Servers were very nice but clearly inexperienced. Orders were not correct and food did not come out together. First person food came out 30 minutes before last person's food...nothing like having a meal together.
We were completely ignored for 20 minutes. We had to seat ourselves, no one gave us menus after several requests. We just a horrible way to spend Mother's Day. We had to leave and go somewhere else. Stay Away
Mediocre food...restaurant is literally in the lobby of a "long stay" type of hotel. Not what I was expecting.
Stopped in with a friend who had gone to check out the hotel. Went to the bar and we were pleasantly surprised to find about a half dozen quality craft beers all made in NJ. I asked the friendly bartender Flor who picked them and she introduced me to Kevin who is one very knowledgeable beer guy. He took the time to explain every beer and answered all my questions. We ordered a few light snacks and they were very good. The bar is not large and they don't do flights but it's well worth a trip if you support local breweries and enjoy quality beer in an attractive setting. I know I will be back.
Food and service was good. We had the bolognese and the hanger steak with Brussels sprouts. Everything was great especially the Brussels sprouts!
Food was tasty. No ambiance- sitting in a hotel lobby. Bartender was also server maybe even cook, he did a great job. Miss the dead river pub
Everything we had was amazing. The chef/kitchen certainly put their best foot forward. The Angus burger was perfectly done. The prawns were grilled just right and juicy and the green spicy had just the right amount of kick. I will be visiting again.
We were on Open Table making a dinner reservation, and saw they were offering 1000 bonus points in exchange for trying this new restaurant, only about 2 miles from our home. There were several Open Table reviews, each of which were generally positive, so we decided to try it. It's located inside the recently renovated Delta (by Marriott) Hotel, which is the former Indigo Hotel for those that know the area. Our reservation was Saturday evening prime time, and when we arrived the restaurant was virtually empty, only two other customers. And we had been unable to find the menu or prices on the internet, so at that point we were fully prepared to be disappointed, and assumed they had offered the 1000 bonus points because they were desperate. Not so at all! We had an excellent meal. My GF and shared Sushito Peppers as an appetizer. They were excellent and plentiful. And for some strange reason we both decided to order hamburgers, which is unusual for us as we tend to avoid red meat. Both of us agree the burgers were as good as we have ever had anywhere, not exaggerating! Great charbroiled flavor, served on excellent brioche rolls. The dinner menu was not extensive. We do recall that they offered pasta with sausage and onions as well as chicken with rice and mushrooms and a steak entree. They could help themselves by posting the menu on the hotel website. Nothing really fancy about the decor. I would describe it as a "breakfast room" at the rear of the hotel lobby with a fireplace (see the photos on Open Table and on the hotel website). Very clean and neat. Rather small with only 15 to 20 tables. Julie was the sole waitress on duty and she was very personable and knowledgeable. She explained to us that the restaurant has not open only a short time. and most of the business seems to come from business travelers staying in the restaurant during the week. We will definitely dine here again. They just need to get the word out and build the business. When we departed there were still just a couple of other tables in the restaurant that were occupied. We mentioned our experience to several friends and no one had heard of it.

Coming from Berkeley Heights, I was looking for something different with quality food. I was not disappointed in the Trading Post. Julie, our server, was engaging. She was by herself and based on that, did a great job.The newly renovated hotel, at least the lobby and dining area are bright and comfortable. The prices were reasonable. The only thing that disappointed me was that we couldn't get a mimosa as there is some restriction to serving alcoholic beverages before noon. Other than that, I recommend the Trading Post.
This restaurant is in the newly renovated Delta Hotel by Marriott The food and wine selections are really good and value priced Service is attentive and well delivered by very experienced restaurant staff Our server Flora , Chef Mike, and bartender Tommy went the distance to ensure that we had a relaxing and positive dining experience. If you would enjoy a weeknight out in a quiet (you can have an intimate conversation) environment with good food- give The Trading Post a try
The pasta with sausage and onions was great , as was the chicken thigh w rice and mushrooms . Drink selection was also good :)
We were looking for a new place in the neighborhood and were pleasantly surprised by the Trading Post, the restaurant in the Delta Hotel. The food was fresh and very tasty. Deviled eggs and mushroom soup were outstanding starters, which we followed with the steak entree. Julie's service was outstanding, making this a very pleasant experience and a nice surprise. They serve breakfast as well, so we plan on trying that next.
