We were visiting from the UK and went here following a recommendation from our US family. The service we received was warm and friendly with nothing being too much trouble. The food was served promptly and very tasty. I would highly recommend them to anyone reading this review 😊
What a fantastic place!!! 🇦🇫 ❤️
Absolutely delicious food from start to finish…appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Beverages were delightful - Mocktails, Turkish coffee, chai tea, and more. The staff is wonderful and the owner is sincerely amazing!
A new favorite!!!
One of the most fabulous halal upscale dining experiences. This has become our go-to place for birthdays and anniversaries. Their lamb shank with qabuli and filet mignon kebabs are out of this world. Very nice ambiance and service as well. Highly recommend!

Hills of Herat in Basking Ridge offers outstanding food with generous servings in a clean and beautiful setting. The service is excellent, and the staff is very friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The lamb chops are a standout dish, cooked to perfection and tender, while the lamb shank is also a favored choice. Guests can enjoy a variety of succulent meats, kebabs, and humus, complemented by delicious lentil soup with fresh bread and dipping sauces. The non bread is the best ever had, and the manti dumplings are delicious as well. Fresh baked bread is always a highlight, paired with three dips that add to the meal. The chicken kebabs are moist, flavorful, and highly recommended. For dessert, pistachio cake, ras malai, and firni are popular choices, providing a sweet ending to the meal. The restaurant also offers refreshing drinks like lime and mint, enhancing the Mediterranean cuisine experience. With great value and large portions, Hills of Herat continues to be a place worth revisiting for a memorable dining experience.
