Allen's Clam Bar Reviews
You've got to enjoy Thursday at Allen's Clam Bar. A 12-ounce broiled or fried lobster tail and 2 sides for $29.99 is just as amazing as Chef Craig's other creations. Great food, great service, and a fun time at Allen's will make your day.
place is pretty good. but they have something on their menu called Rhode Island Chowder. RI Chowder is a real thing, and it bears absolutely no resemblance to what their menu described as mix of red and white. RI chowder is unique because it is a clam broth base with no tomato and no milk/cream/thickening agent of any kind. it's also called clear chowder. they should have more respect for RI and name that concoction after whoever thought it would be a good idea.
food is always good ,fried lobster tail

Allen's Clam Bar is a cozy establishment with an impressive selection of crab legs. The broiled scallops and lemon cod are exceptional. The staff is friendly, attentive, and creates a welcoming atmosphere, making customers feel at home. The addition of a bar is a convenient feature, although the drink prices may be slightly higher. Customers appreciate the accommodating and comfortable environment, which feels like a home away from home.
The menu features a dish called "Rhode Island Chowder," which does not accurately represent the traditional Rhode Island-style clam chowder. The authentic version is a clear broth-based chowder without tomatoes or dairy, known as "clear chowder." The restaurant should consider renaming the dish to better reflect the local culinary tradition.
Despite this minor menu discrepancy, Allen's Clam Bar remains a beloved local favorite, with loyal customers praising the great food, friendly service, and overall enjoyable dining experience. The all-you-can-eat crab leg nights are particularly popular among the regulars.
