What a great breakfast and lunch option for our community. Noticed a post explaining that Dune Grass would be opening up for breakfast and lunch inside of one of our favorite establishments, Used to Be's in Normandy Beach. We tried it out for breakfast and it was delicious. The coffee was amazing and the pancakes were perfect! Such a warm and inviting place and is worth stopping in to check out. What a hidden gem! Hope that they install some better signage soon so people know that they are tucked away inside of Used to Be's.

We drove down to the Jersey shore last summer to just look around. We ended up in Bay Head and found the Dune Grass Cafe. Had a very nice lunch with sandwich and fish and chips.

All I can say is phenomenal! The service is great and the food is on point! The pancakes are thin and delicious and the fruit is fresh. We came for a late breakfast and it was our first time and we WILL be back!!!!!! Love love love love it!

Service was good. Food was average. Pancakes were ok, although i ordered French toast, homefries were good. Ordered their homemade cornbeef hash so over cooked couldn't tell what was meat and what was potatoes it's all black and hard. We live locally probably won't go back.

We have eaten here twice while on vacation. Both times the service and food was great. The wait staff was pleasant and attentive. The food was great and perfect portion sizes, not too big, just enough. We will definitely return if we're in the area again.
As a local resident, I have never been to this place and my daughter wanted to take me here for my birthday since we pass it on our way to her private school in Point Beach. Not only did I feel rushed, our server was extremely rude and they were all too busy obsessing over the regulars they were forgetting about our table. She never came around to ask us if we needed anything else and another server brought us our check. When we asked for a box, we were given a piece of tinfoil. I love supporting small businesses, but when I feel I am treated as a third class customer to the point where my 9 year old noticed how extremely unpleasant our server was, makes us unfortunately not want to return & tell others in the area to avoid. I understand it was a busy Sunday morning as I also used to work this industry in the summer, but please train your staff to treat every customer equally. The favoritism shows.

Can't find a cafe with pleasant outdoor seating? Try Dune Grass Cafe. There is a bit of road noise but in downtown Bay Head, how bad can it be? It's lovely with good food & good service.
