I have been getting my pierogi here for years. Hands down, THE BEST PIEROGI. Being of Polish descent, I have tried many and none compare. All of the baked goods are so fresh. The kruscicki, babka (the cheese babka is amazing), and the poppyseed bread are delicious. The potato pancakes are huge and delicious as well. My favorite place to stop when visiting Bayonne.

Bayonne’s finest. Thr pastrami reuben is the thing to come for apparently. It wasn’t too fatty which was good and sliced thin. It was kind of hard to eat though but who cares. Solid reuben. The Homemade apple cake is delicious and I recommend. Portions are huge and service is friendly. Glad I came.

I called up one day during the week to make sure that they were making pastrami and corned beef sandwiches. It was almost 3:30 and they close by 4. My Husband parked the car and I ran inside. The gentle man behind the counter asked me if I wanted half corned beef and half pastrami. I told him that I wanted one of each. I didn't realize how big they were! He asked me if I wanted mustard and a pickle. I appreciate him asking before putting mustard on my sandwiches. He was extremely pleasant, kind, gentle and in a good mood. I didn't feel like I was bothering him. I dislike when you are patronizing a store and they make you feel like you are annoying them. I happened to notice a loaf of special bread that I do not know the name of it. I picked up one and the gentleman said to pick up the first one which was still warm on the bottom. It had cheese inside it. It is delicious! We were extremely happy with the two sandwiches and I ate the bread in the morning with my coffee. I heated up a piece and it took me 5 days to finish it. The sandwiches were so very good! We couldn't eat the whole sandwiche in one sitting. On the second day I called a neighbor and asked her if she would like some of the pastrami. I warmed it up and put it on the rye bread that I had in the house. She was very happy with it too. I had some corned beef left and asked another neighbor. She too was very happy. I didn't grow up around here. But my neighbors knew all about Alex and Terry's. We will definitely go back again. I was asked what I had spent. I didn't think it was appropriate to ask me that.
