This small portion i had 2 orders they was 65.00 dinner was horrible. Yams had too many strings in them. Then they put a gruitity on when I picked up. Never again dinner was crummy. If you want good food go to beyond soul in Belleville nj

This place in Bayonne is up & coming and has true potential. The atmosphere is cozy, warmly welcomed, very clean, and the food & drinks are decent. Ms. Wanda has a variety of specials and is very accommodating. There's light music & TVs at the bar, with quaint seating in the back. The catfish strips, wings & lamb chops are recommended. She also does catering and hosts small events.

Ordered fried flounder with collard greens & candied yams with corn bread. Definitely southern & full of SOUL, thanks to our exceptional host, waitress & chef. Coming back! And you can watch NFL/NBA in the back!

Janky Resturant that’s supposed to be Italian but new owner is trying to make it soul food. Nope! $26 for old reheated old Mac and cheese where the cheese does not stick to the pasta. Whiting has a refrigerator/freezer taste and mixed veggies are at least two days old saggy! For $26? Not one thing was fresh on my plate! Tried to support but I’m disappointed and starving right now. That’s what supporting got me. Disgusting food 🤮 I am thoroughly pissed. You should be ashamed of yourself for serving this crap!

Extremely disappointed on the way I was treated and disrespected. My girlfriend said that she wanted to eat at this place so we drove all the way from Hoboken to come. She is eight months pregnant. as soon as we got there, she had to use the restroom, but the lady at the front had a very nasty attitude and said that it’s only for customers (with a attitude) My girlfriend went to the back in the restroom, and I followed her. as she went inside the restroom I just waited outside the door for her to let her know I was there and make sure she felt safe as she is sensitive and eight months pregnant. A big Dyke woman later came with a nasty attitude, telling me there’s no reason for me to be back there while she’s in the bathroom and she told me to go to the front. after I went to the front of the store, another lady that worked there said, would you like a seat at the bar or seat at a table? I told her neither because I would be leaving since I was treated rudely and they were being very hostile. She then screamed to another coworker and said see this is why you should have not let them use the bathroom. They only came here to use the bathroom. I told her ma’am no I did not. I came here to eat, but you’re being very rude and hostile so I will leave. Very disgusting people with a lot of attitude and it seems like the Dyke was security guard and she was just looking for trouble.

This was my second time here, the first time was excellent, this time not so good. I won’t be going back unfortunately, I thought the consistency of good food would last.

The food was absolutely delicious and the owner and staff were great..

Rice and vegtable....too much salt. This restaurant could be a beautiful thriving establishment. Needs help and other expertise.

What happened? I walked in and the place was completely empty - no customers - first time I ever saw that. Should have been my first clue.The food here USED to be so good. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich but the chicken had absolutely no taste, no onions which I ordered and no mayo which I ordered. I looked for the rack of potato chips and that’s gone. I’m extremely disappointed with the “new” Buon Appetito. Will not be going back.

Food was ok, but extremely overpriced. We paid $93 for one calamari, two pasta dishes and two drinks. That's insane in bayonne. The same thing would run you $70 at Sarelli's and be way better.

Would NEVER eat anything from this place again. The Mac and cheese horrible. The cheese tasted spoiled. Collard greens undercooked and no seasoning. Potato salad watery. Wasted money. Should have cooked myself.

We don’t normally visit Bayonne for drinks or dinner, but when I heard about this new restaurant and bar and how good the food was and the atmosphere I took a trip out there. The Italian food and the soul food is amazing. I mean it’s really good! The bartenders were very friendly the smooth jazz made the atmosphere very nice. I’m definitely going back to visit with my friends.
