We bought a pastry here and we tried it at home. Both times we experienced heartburn right after eating. Don’t know what do they use to bake but definitely we are not going to visit this place ever again.

Windows are covered with paper again. They are closed are reopening. The new management did not maintain the standards of the old management. The food was completely bland and unseasoned and the rice was stale and hard. $50 down the drain. If the original owners come back, I would be so happy to be Choripán Bayonne reopening.

Horrible experience! Me and my wife bought food to go. We were surprised when we open the tray and smell something funny. The rice smelled old and like it was left out and rotting. We called them and told them we just wanted fries instead but the smell had gotten on the meats and fries so we ultimately just asked for our money back. Here's where it gets "interesting". The host a young lady had been helping us and was professional and apologetic. When we got back to the store to return the food a man whom was clearly the owner, says that the rice isn't bad and that he smelled it and served it to other people. At this point, my wife and I looked at each other with disbelief. He was clearly trying to pull a fast one.. Maybe he thought that I don't eat Spanish food often enough to know how yellow rice should smell.. either way, he goes back and forth with us, I tell him to forget the money. My wife and I make it clear we are willing to just leave the food as the food legit could probably get someone sick, but he tells the hostess to give us back our money. I felt bad for the young lady that helped us as she had no fault in this and was noticeably embarrassed.

Ordered from this place multiple times and each time there was something off with my order whether it be no sauces included with my food, soggy fries, etc. The last time I decided to eat there I ordered their chicken sandwich and the meat was completely rubbery. I tried to chew it and had to spit it out, I went back to the store and apologized to bother them and explained what was wrong with the food. One of the chefs came out and opened my container and stuck their bare hands into the chewed up food to grab a piece of the unchecked cutlet. He then placed it on the bare counter and cut it with a knife/fork they grabbed with the same hand. They then got nasty saying there was nothing wrong and offered to make it different. The chef in the back started slamming things when they heard this, at that point I said I'd prefer a refund after seeing all this and were reluctant insisting on making me their recipe "how I want it". After seeing the chef stick their bare hands in chewed food then touching cutlery and more It was more about sanitation than the food at that point. Would never eat here again/nor recommend it

Terrible food, tasted old and made us sick. We paid cash they charged us credit card fee. Waitress was not nice and forgetful. Fire alarm rang for 15 minutes had to call the fire department to shut it off. The restaurant did not apologize to us. Reservation was a waste. Will not come back.

I don't like to leave negative comments, but the service is very bad, the barbecue without salt and bad. And another thing, pay attention to the charge because they charge you more.

The food was delicious, the three milk cake chocolate is sooooo yummy. The watier was very friendly. Also the chicken empanada is so yummy ?.

Kid-friendliness: The waiter was very friendly and she kept on checking on us if we needed anything else.

The staff, service, and food make the Choripan restaurant an elite go-to dining option. Whether you’re passing by or ordering in, you can rely on delicious food and quality bbq. They truly blow their competitors out of the water with their deeply rich taste of Argentina. Bayonne is lucky to have them!

Sorry to say I really wanted to like the bar b q chicken but it it was so bland no taste. The rice also. They really need to add Seasoning to the meat. The food need needs flavor.

Food is always fresh and delicious. Tastes like it’s made with love. The empanadas are stuffed with filling and all taste equally good. The parillada Americana is easily enough food for 2-3. It came with two sides and lots of freshly grilled meats. The service was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be returning!

Went to eat here today and got to say it's hands down one of the best places for Argentinian food in Bayonne. Service was wonderful, food was great and came in good portions, and for the price I'd say it was fair. Would definitely recommend this to others!

Good food and portions are huge. Southern African people will appreciate the grilled meat, just like “chisa-nyama”. Glad I found this place on google. Hidden gem

Came here multiple times to pick up food. Always recommended this place to others. Pick up was always superb when I made a huge orders of trays (basically when I spent lots of $$$). I started noticing that when I ordered through the Too Good Too Go app or just to pick up empanadas or a small order, the person up front is rude. One time I came by just to order a sandwich and the lady was SO INCREDIBLY RUDE like as if she didn’t even want to take my order. The final straw was when I asked my husband to pick up our order through the Too Good To Go app and he said he was treated like garbage. I wasn’t even surprised when he came home upset.

I visited Choripan Bayonne with my wife on a weekday around 12:30pm. The place was empty since they normally open around 11:30am but we were very pleased with the service and the food.I had a half BBQ combo with 2 pork and 1 beef ribs and it came with rice and fries. Everything was delicious and the portion was very generous. For $15 bucks it was a good deal.My wife had the breaded steak with tomato and mozzarella (a la parmigiana) and her steak was huge. It was as enough for both of us, not to mention her fries portion was also very generous. Hers was also around $15. Next time we will probably reorder this and share. We also had sodas ($2.25 per can). Next time we will also try the empanadas. As an appetizer they served a delicious bread with butter. Note that we didn’t see any lunch specials or separate lunch menus but we both agreed that the price was fair and we will definitely be back. I hope the delivery and take out portions are also generous.
