I feel bad leaving this type of review because the people are nice, however the food was TERRIBLE. The grilled chicken was just cooked with no seasoning whatsoever, not even a dash of salt, just straight chicken that tasted horrible. The beans are straight out of a can, again no flavor, tasted like old water. Empanadas absolutely terrible. It truly cannot get worse than this and it was incredibly hard to eat. They really need to improve.
Extremely salty rice and too watery, almost like rice cakes, everything else was bland and no flavor. The rice made my mouth burn tingle after 2 bites. That's how salty it is. My son still ate his meal because he was very hungry, I just made sure he drank plenty of water. Service was also so so, that lady never smiled for anything. We were also already charged for gratuity for a party of four. 2 adults and 2 kids. I think they know that their food sucks and their service is meh, and they know people do not come back. This is why they charge gratuity right away. Mind you, even with the worst service we still pay at least 15%. We also paid $80 for 2 meals with 2 extra sides. One salad that had soggy old tomatoes that tasted somewhat fishy. Which I only took one bite of. And the other side was extra rice that we also took tiny bites of with the meat. Yes, that is right. We used the rice as salt to flavor the meat. We had alot of leftovers and we did not even dare take it home. Do yourselves a favor, and drive 20mins more to get to Noches de Colombia. This place makes Noches seem like a 5 star restaurant.

🤤🤤🤤🤤
I’ve dined in at this local Columbia spot once and frequently stop by to grab their empanadas de carne to go, and I have to say, I don’t fully agree with the negative reviews this place gets. The empanadas are hands-down the best I’ve ever had—crispy, flavorful, and packed with delicious filling. They’re a must-try and keep me coming back regularly.
The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit pleasant. The dining room itself is clean and well-kept, creating a nice atmosphere if you choose to eat in. However, I did notice that behind the counter can get a bit messy, which might not leave the best impression.
Overall, my experience here has been positive, especially for those amazing empanadas. If you’re looking for a quick, tasty bite, this place is worth a stop!

The food was so-so, and the bill was very exaggerated for the quality of the preparation of the dishes.

When I moved to Bayonne back in 2023 i was delighted to have come across this restaurant. The food was so delicious and I was a big fan of their empanadas as well. A year ago we started noticing that the sweet plantains im the bandeja paisa we’re not riped and figured maybe they just didn’t had them ready but every time since we have been getting them like that, we stopped ordering sides of plantains as we used to because we were big fans. Lately the empanada filling has been mostly mash potatoes, but on our last two orders the rice has been mushy and the chicharrón has not been fresh and has had a saggy texture. The plantains have not been ripped at all. I think we gave La Casita Colombiana a lot of chances but the quality has been missing more an more every time we order and I don’t want to keep ordering any more.

The prices are very high, the food is not delicious, the empanadas have more potatoes than meat. In short, this restaurant is not Colombian. I don't know where they claim to be from, but it's not bad to give the image of our country the image of our country with a restaurant like this.

I bought empanadas in which when I went to consume a hair came out in the dough, it seemed as if the empanada had fallen to the floor and that is how they had given it to me, when I requested to change the product for another product called pandebono, they gave me one that It had an old taste and an unpleasant appearance. It seems disgusting to me.

I don’t recommend this place to any one. I had by a food and this is the 3 time bring me 9 piece chicken wing. It is supposed to be 10. Also the chicken test so bad like they put sand to season it. Is horrible I don’t recommend nobody to go there . 🤮

Terrible place, they charged me $14 dollars for a tamale, which has a bad taste and is very small for its value.
I placed an order for 5 breads that came with cheese and guallaba sweets and for 5 breads that only one of the 5 brought cheese, I called to complain and the man who made it said that he put cheese instead of apologizing or saying that For the other order I had cheese they just told me what a shame it was just terrible that's why I gave it one star

This is the most god awful restaurant I’ve ever had the displeasure to order from. I’ve tried several times to give it a chance but each time, the quality was terrible. The food either has no flavor or too salty. The portions are small when you go in person. I don’t understand how the empanadas look and taste old when most of the Colombian places on Bergenline and Elizabeth order them frozen from the same place and don’t taste or look old, but somehow manage to be absolutely awful here. They don’t even make their own ají, they just give you Valentina hot sauce. To top it all off, the price point is ridiculous. I genuinely cannot understand how they managed to stay in business all these years.
