When I moved to Bayonne back in 2023 i was delighted to have come across this restaurant. The food was so delicious and I was a big fan of their empanadas as well. A year ago we started noticing that the sweet plantains im the bandeja paisa we’re not riped and figured maybe they just didn’t had them ready but every time since we have been getting them like that, we stopped ordering sides of plantains as we used to because we were big fans. Lately the empanada filling has been mostly mash potatoes, but on our last two orders the rice has been mushy and the chicharrón has not been fresh and has had a saggy texture. The plantains have not been ripped at all. I think we gave La Casita Colombiana a lot of chances but the quality has been missing more an more every time we order and I don’t want to keep ordering any more.

I placed an order for 5 breads that came with cheese and guallaba sweets and for 5 breads that only one of the 5 brought cheese, I called to complain and the man who made it said that he put cheese instead of apologizing or saying that For the other order I had cheese they just told me what a shame it was just terrible that's why I gave it one star

This is the most god awful restaurant I’ve ever had the displeasure to order from. I’ve tried several times to give it a chance but each time, the quality was terrible. The food either has no flavor or too salty. The portions are small when you go in person. I don’t understand how the empanadas look and taste old when most of the Colombian places on Bergenline and Elizabeth order them frozen from the same place and don’t taste or look old, but somehow manage to be absolutely awful here. They don’t even make their own ají, they just give you Valentina hot sauce. To top it all off, the price point is ridiculous. I genuinely cannot understand how they managed to stay in business all these years.

If there was less than one star for this place I would give it. The look of the place is definitely not to impress. The service is very bad. Although the girl who served was friendly. The prices for the place, the hygiene, the presentation of the food are not the best. The beans are cooked about 3 days ago. The rice was not presented on the good looking plate. I don't know where they got it from the chicken, it was like plastic. And the presentation of the food was horrible. The girl gave me an empanada that looked like a mouse had bitten it, a large part was missing in the middle and it was hard as if it had been prepared 3 days ago. I ordered a lentil soup and he brought me a sancocho full of fat and with a big smile without asking me if I wanted that or not? He served it to me and brought me a sancocho for you as a form of mockery. Finally, if you want to vomit, it is the perfect environment. The bathroom in the place is very neglected. It has a bad smell. They should keep the place cleaner for their clients. The bathroom is quite poorly maintained.
In conclusion I didn't like it. The food The service The environment hygiene The prices for the place should not be charged that way because I have been to better places with better service and it is a price that I think is not worth it for the poor service and presentation of the food.
Parking: You park on the street. You pay with coins or cards, it is because of the city of Bayonne, the schedule depends, it could be difficult to get parking, it all depends.

Save yourself and don't go there. My uncle came in from Colombia he was starving at lunch time because his flight was delayed, we got there at 12 pm. The place was empty no one was there, that should have been a sign. We ordered 3 mojara frita or fried fishes, and a BLT, for starters the sticky dirty menus had stickers on them that said $26 per fish meal, online they have them at $28 and in person my bill was $30 per. BLT was fairly price $10. The place had good music however, we kept swinging away the flys, a little dingy and to make matters worse it took forever. The server mentioned the fish takes a while. When the food came, BLT and 1 fish came first, then the next 10 mins later and finally about another 15 mins in the last one for the 4 person in our group. I waited to eat so the last person wasn't just watching us. When we started to eat the fish 3 bites in we found it was raw. We called the server she offered to take it back. The fish that took forever was raw pink in the middle, she was apologetic after she took it back. Then she brought back the same fishes just and she said it's "a little crispy now" in other words she fried it in the restaurants oil to dep fry everything, food that myself and my uncle's buddy had started to eat. By the way it was not fully cooked the second time either. Now I don't know about NJ but in Md that's a sanitation violation.. To make matters worse she tipped herself $16.21 I was only planning to leave $10, guess I was the sucker she got $26.21... so if you are reading this save your money and your self from eating food that maybe contaminated with who knows who's germs.
