We went last night for a birthday dinner with 6 people. The food was fine but the service was incredibly rushed. As soon as we were given menus the waitress was asking what we wanted. We said we needed time and she came back a generous 60 seconds later. We ordered our dinners and 3 appetizers to share. They quickly brought the soup and salad but I was a little surprised how quickly the chef showed up with the cart and started putting food on the grill. I said we ordered appetizers and he said they're coming. They did come out quickly but by the time we finished the appetizers most of the food was off the grill and on our plates. They came back to get the bowls and I did not even have time for the soup. Right after that the waitress came back and put leftover takeaway boxes down. It felt like GTFO! I felt unwelcome and rushed with no time between courses and it was difficult to enjoy the dinner. I doubt I will going back anytime soon.

Came here with my partner because I never been to hibachi where they cook in front of you. Service good and waitress nice asked everyone around the table if they have any food allergies. They chef was decent tried to break the ice with crowd of people we sat with. The food was fine but it tasted better when I reheated back home.

It was my first time here, i asked the receptionist about their sushi as I haven’t decided yet what to order. The girl wearing yellow was there and i asked her about their menu, she was in the middle of explaining it to me then left me without finishing what she was saying. And when were to pick up our order, we received one of our orders and wasn’t aware that there is one more missing when one of the cashiers raised her voice at me and my boyfriend when she was explaining it to us that its not yet ready. she could have explained it in a nice way not raising her voice to us. that was VERY rude. this got me so mad. not sure it the girl was the owner if not the management should start to consider not to have her as part of their team lol we were considering to eat there next time but with the BAD customer service, we might have to think twice.

I recently visited Otaiko Hibachi & Sushi Lounge in Bayonne, NJ, and had an amazing time! The hibachi experience was so much fun, with a talented chef performing tricks and stunts while cooking our meal (especially the saki saki part haha). The food was delicious, with fresh and flavorful ingredients. I especially loved the steamed dumplings as appetizer. I love the fact that every time I come here, I never wait to be seated. Their margaritas patron are the best in town. The atmosphere was lively and modern, with a chic decor. Overall, I highly recommend Otaiko for a fun and memorable dining experience!

Food is ok. We told them we don't drink alcohol and can't eat food cooked with it and they refused us hibachi it was rude and unaccommodating. We won't be coming back

Chef was awesome, food was good, service had attitude and added gratuity to my bill for 3 people when sign clearly said gratuity will be added to parties of 4 or more. Didn't say anything about it, they would have gotten a better tip and review if they didn't do that. Wouldn't return because of poor service.

Great hidden gem in Bayonne. They offer a great hibachi show but the real showstoppers are the sushi rolls. Great martinis and fantastic happy hour options. In a giant strip mall so plenty of parking, and located right on the walking path overlooking the bay which provides a nice way to walk off the calories afterward. They also offer outside dining during the summer which is great and it's a very clean, nice environment.
