Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

Saturday Oct 4th at 8:40pm...the staff member that work the night shift is the absolute most miserable employee you guys could possibly have hired. She is going to lose you guys a ton of money. I almost walked out and didn't want her to serve me. She's VERY rude and has NO personality whatsoever. Either I'll try to go in the day or take my money elsewhere.

Anytime you come to this place after 9, they always want to say they are out of custard when they are not. Or they say they already turned the blender off. If you close at 10 all menu items should be available up until 10. If you still decide to get something that requires the blender they will say you have to wait 10 mins for it to be made when in reality they are cleaning the back of the house during those 10 mins to leave at 10. Serving the customer should be first then cleaning up the store for closing afterwards. I got here at 9:20 & they close at 10. Making a small concrete shouldn't take more than 5 mins which will be done before the store closes

This store closes at 10pm and I got there at 9pm. The employee said everything was cleaned and packed up for the night and that nothing was available. Terrible service!

Online says open til 9, walked up at around 8:45 and they were already added moping the floor. It's 80° outside so I know it wasn't an issue with demand, maybe yall should update your online hours to reflect what time you are open

Beyond disgusted by the way, customers are treated there by those employees. One for the quality of product that they provide, they should not be charging the amount of money that they are charging because it’s not worth it along with even spending one second inside of that establishment. (((No refunds, no exchange, Noteven if the employee that took your order, took it incorrectly.))) You are still forced to pay for a new one if you want the correct order you placed and if not to bad >>>NO REFUND<<<. Never again Smh

The taste is awesome. I could eat one r everyday!!! I love the cherry/vanilla.

I am not one to leave reviews. But I just came from this place, to order a small regular brownie Sundae. I was the only customer there and it took 15 mins. The cashier was new and didn’t know what she was doing so I don’t blame her for anything, she was sweet.But the staff didn’t know where the brownies were. My ice cream sat out in a cup for over 10 mins melting, while searching for brownies. The sundae was almost $10 for a small cup…When they finally found the browies…. It was in a plastic bag. They just poured it on top of my melted ice cream….. and sprayed from whole cream on it and threw on a cherry. The presentation was horrid.When I started eating the sundae, the taste of the brownie was like it was found in a plastic bag hidden upstairs in an attic for over a year. No taste of chocolate whatsoever, it tasted so so stale. I couldn’t even eat it.My experience was terrible. Waste of money.

It’s not even open. They’re closed for the season and they open back up on March 1. They need to update their hours

Very poor customer service. I’ve gone many times before and it was never as bad as what I experienced most recently.

Mango Italian ice was yummy ?

Right on the border of Jersey City and Bayonne Rita's is serving up Italian Ices. Located in the strip mall are several stores like Wonder Bagel, a dollar store and a filipino grocery. Spacious parking lot for all to park.
Rita's also shares there space with Chester Chicken.

Rita's has been a favorite since they started popping up in New Jersey years ago. I especially go to Rita's now because they offer some sugar free options which are still plenty sweet.

You can bring home larger sizes like a quart or gallon to freeze up for later. They aso do some catering which is nice for a childrens birthday party on a hot summer day.

Staff is very nice and patient with indecisive customers.

Will definitely return for more Rita's Italian Ice!
