The Whale never disappoints! Love to eat at the bar but tough to get a seat but no matter where u sit it's fun and really good

We had a group of ten for dinner. As usual, everything was great. Service was spot on. Jess took great care of us. Dina went out of her way to accommodate us. We LOVE the Whale! We'll be back again.

Had a great dinner, pistachio crusted halibut was one of the best pieces of fish I've ever had out at a restaurant , Ryan was an excellent server. Drinks alittle on the pricey side, but a great date night!!

Always an awesome experience. Hospitality raised up a notch with great food.

Our server Alayna was very nice and very professional. Food was great as always! The baked clams with crabmeat and the broiled seafood combo are go-to orders! Festive vibe and loved the servers' Halloween costumes!

Expensive with smaller portions. It’s supposed to be known for locals but the tourists found it years ago. Not a bad time but nothing much you couldn’t find at many other places locally.

We were a group of 9 on a Friday night and the manager Dina, went above and beyond to help us out. The Whale never disappoints and that night was no exception. Our server (I forgot her name-we also think she has a twin that works there too?) was excellent, so patient and kind. We all said she was so great. So thanks to the Whale for a great night.

Went there on probably the last day for outdoor dining. Had a roasted oyster app that was out of this world. The their jambalaya for the dinner-recommend both. Great food and great service.

We found this Gem of a place why we were staying in Ship bottom NJ. Let me tell ya. Wow 1st off, 1 out of 10 ... This place is a, 20. all day and night long. We got engaged in the ocean 🌊 and came here for dinner. This place made our whole stay super. The martinis are absolutely amazing/ perfect omg. The appetizer thee Best. The dinner was absolutely amazing, um oh ya the desert super yummy. I am a food critic. Let me tell ya. Everything I got to eat was on point. 💯 😍 the service was absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere was great, I had my 6 yr old daughter with us. The place is very clean .. and the bathrooms were some of the most clean bathrooms I can say , very impressive. I just can't say enough about this place. Once again I'm very glad we came here , HUGE SHOUT OUT TO BWBFH THE BEST❤️. your staff made my engagement day / night. and we will be back . ❤️🙏🌊🌊 Cheers to ship bottom NJ. Reservation for party of 6 adults 4:30 Tues after Labor Day.
Early enough to avoid dinner crowd.
Bar Happy Hour in full swing, crowd well fed .
Apparently we were too early for dinner and the chefs.
Long wait for burnt entrees.
Our very attentive congenial waiter greeted us in the dining room, promptly took our orders, served beverages,family style salad ,excellent house dressing delicious rolls , Not everything on menu was available...for example no scallops wrapped in bacon
Fish & Chips meal done perfectly. Other 5 seafood meals deep fried beyond recognition ,small portions of seafood. Flounder was a thin square cut in half on the diagonal... (size of a small piece of French toast)
Restaurant was getting busy, too long a wait to reorder. Ate what was salvageable. Left unsatisfied & still hungry.
Will never return.

This used to be our favorite restaurant for lump crab cakes but now they are using shredded crab meat with too much filler. The bar is exceptionally noisy and loud. Thankfully we were seated in the far back where it was quiet enough to carry on a conversation with our guests. They still have the best bread pudding for desert! Our server was Jackie and she was excellent! Jackie recommended a seasonal martini with a vodka, a pumpkin syrup and cream. It was the best pumpkin drink we ever had. We will most likely return but not as often as it is no longer our favorite place.

Food was pretty good service started off rocky but recovered nicely not a huge fan of the paper and sharpie on my table 😅
