Great food, great service, as always. Black Whale doesn't disappoint, like all the other Tide Group restaurants

Frito Miso Clam Chowder Fish and Chips Scallops wrapped in Bacon Salad and salad dressing were awesome! Pumpkin spice martini was awesome

Absolutely delicious food! Our server, Sarah, was amazing. Noise level was a wee bit loud, but there was a great singer in the bar area. Had a fantastic time!

The food and service was excellent! One of the best meals on the island. Would highly recommend

Jess was our server and everything was perfect. My dining companion asked for a very cold martini and it was VERY cold. She loved it Buffalo calamari was delicious. salads fresh and broiled e=seafood combinations had plent of seafood and were done perfectly Always have a great meal here

Consistently good although the portions seem to have gotten smaller and the prices higher. Flounder, scallops, tuna all superb. Great service. Great bar. Parking can be a challenge and the noise level often uncomfortably high. Kudos for not having a credit card surcharge.

We came in this afternoon for lunch visiting from out of state. The food was phenomenal, the house dressing is a must! The area was clean and a social atmosphere. However, our waitress was very short with us for being a first time customer. We had to ask for the specials of the day etc, and she wasn’t really helpful with recommendations or house favorites. At the end of the meal we paid, I left a good tip, and upon her bringing back the receipt, the waitress asked us about the service several times, than finally my husband asked if there was a reason, and she stated your tip and walked away straight into the kitchen. We left our drinks and walked out. Insulating , very rude, and we tipped well! Will not be back, this has never happened to us at a restaurant, and I have never seen my husband so upset.

Both of us had the grilled salmon. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the sauces were delicious. The carrots that came with it were not cooked and could only be cut with great effort. I'm used to an abundant serving of salad at this restaurant but on this visit the salad was very skimpy. Such a shame when the dressing is so tasty!

Always an excellent meal and service -- top notch. A favorite stop every time we come to LBI.
