The absolute best there is!
Best red valvet cupcakes. A pleasure to work with
Outstanding! Biggest and best elephant ears I’ve ever had! My husband remembers coming here as a kid! Everything is homemade and delicious! Brownies, crumb cake, whoopie pies, black and whites, horns, Italian cookies, Linder tarts, specialty cakes, donuts, bagels, cinnamon rolls, bread and more!

An LBI tradition for decades
High prices and medium quality of their recipes, flavors and their relationship to the high price. Unfriendly service (can improve)

Asked the kid working there what kind of pies were there, after looking at us with his mouth hanging open he went over to the window where there were 4 pies. He told us after guessing and we said we'll have the peach pie.Oh we'll, Pedro gave us an apple pie ?. It was excellent but not a peach pie. Either way it was good and I know you just can't get decent help. But this is a great bakery.

I came in 9/14/24 around 1230 to acquire some things to bring back to family in NY. I asked for 1 sticky bun. Asked for other things....5 pieces of crumb cake, 2 cookies 2 cinnabons 2 donut bites a 1 sticky bun.....68ish bucks. I was stunned by price for what I asked for. I didn't say anything as I worked there the summer of '96 and I support store for 28 years for nostalgic reasons. I thought this is Biden/Harris America and we're here all suffering through it. Low and behold they gave me 9 stickybuns. Crazy..... asked for one got 9. We now live in a society where we literally have to check our boxes and everything these young ones are doing. Sadly these kids are not like us. And I know I wasn't perfect. But we didn't have phones yet and I know these phones have had a terrible cause and effect on brains/attention spans. Called the manager very nice. I live in NY nothing they can do although they were willing to rectify situation. I appreciate that. But now everywhere I go I'm going to have to act like a "Karen" and check everything to ensure Im not robbed blind. Sad times. Also staff should say thanks when they get tipped. I tipped, no thank you, and I got fleeced up the a$$. It's rude not to acknowledge a tip, especially one that is not necessary. I see it everywhere. Be better than everyone else, teach your staff manners and to say thanks. It matters in your customer service and reflects on your business. These are the soft skills that are meant to be acquired during these beginner and summer jobs. I'd like to think I learned some of that there. No point in having a good product if delivered poorly. Tell these kids slow down, pay attention and get order right. Repeat it before ring out. Show the box before closing it!
Still a charming place but sign of the times.
A phenomenal job with my daughter’s birthday cake. Creative decorations, deliciously tasting. Thank you!!!

Great that they have vegan options. Yodals and cookies are great. They used to have amazing eliphant ears that are hit or miss now depending on the week. Great bagels tho !

vegan options were clearly labeled. the staff didn’t really know what was vegan without looking at the same sign i was looking at, but it’s all good. everything that was vegan was also gluten free, which was a good business move for them i think. they had a sign near the gf/v section saying “gluten free- why is it so expensive” and i didn’t pay any mind to it since i expect an up charge, but 1 cookie, 1 brownie, & 1 elephant ear came to $25. i wish i asked for a receipt for the breakdown. the elephant ear was light and not overly sweet and tasted like cinnamon toast crunch. the cookie (samoa) was also delicious, i love coconut and haven’t had anything like that from a bakery in years. it’s great to have a local bakery offer so many options and despite the price i will honestly probably go back.
Still the best!

I paid 10 dollars for a loaf of bread and I threw it away because it was not fresh, it was stale and very hard.

We have been here multiple times and it’s always been great. I went on Saturday to purchase a $5 cupcake and didn’t realize it was hard / stale, until I got home.
I left the review and received a response from the owner giving me the option to come back and get another.
Normally I wouldn’t, but I felt like I just wasted $5 and also still had the cupcake. I went back today and got a replacement. Same situation as Saturday, the cream on top is soft, but the cake is hard and dry :(

I’ve been coming here since I was a child. We often look forward to their tasty treats. It’s been lacking the past couple of years, especially this year. Not only is the service poor, but prices are just too high at this point. Will we return? Sure. As often? No.
