I have been coming to LBI with my family for years so we’re always looking for new places to eat. On a most recent trip with just my girlfriend, we decided to try Isola. Absolutely delicious food! We started with the octopus appetizer, the octopus was cooked perfectly tender not chewy with a great char and accompanying sauce that we shamelessly ate even after finishing the octopus. For dinner I got the tile fish and she got the cacio e pepe pasta, both delicious as well! Everything tasted fresh, came out hot and quick though we did not feel rushed.
This is a smaller restaurant so I’m not sure how it would be for groups larger than maybe 4 people. Also, the quasi-communinal seating with a shared bench running around the perimeter of the interior restaurant might not be for everyone (you’re fairly close to the neighboring table) . That said i would still highly recommend anyone on the island to check it out for some delicious Italian food that’s more than just a standard red sauce kind of place.

Great Italian on the island. I’d rank up there with Stefanos and Azzuri. Some more unique menu items including the Rotolo di lasagna. I will say I was slightly disappointed in some menu changes compared to years past (blue fin tuna, meatballs, watermelon and goat cheese salad, short rib parpadelle all replaced). Kids got pizza tonight and fried Sicilian chicken and vognole. Sicilian chicken was great. The clams pasta was ok. My wife got the gnocchi and I got the lasagna. Both very good. One pet peeve with this restaurant is the you need to order all at once rule. BYOB. Thought prices comparable to Stefanos. Significantly cheaper than Raimondos.

Great night last night dinning! Lasagna was killer, the pepperoni honey pizza was very good. Busy but our waitress still was tentative to us. Good to see!

I recently visited this restaurant and absolutely loved it! It has a cozy Italian feel, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted authentic and reminded me of home. The atmosphere made the whole experience even better. Definitely a 10/10 — I highly recommend it!

Everything about our meal was excellent. Service was great and very friendly. The food was unbelievably good. We had the vongole pasta, two pizzas, and scallops plus the burrata and panzanella apps. Everything was unbelievable. My only regret is that it took so long to make it here. Definitely planning on going back in the near future.

They do things in a thoughtful and impressionable way. The scallop dish could use a makeover but everything else was outstanding. It’s a nice outdoor space and service

Warning, not handicapped accessible due to elevator lift not working when we were there. Fortunately was able to get a member of our party up the stairs, so not a disaster. Food was overall really good with some outstanding highlights, whipped ricotta as well as the asparagus were great appetizers. Fruitti di Mare had great pasta and sauce, frustratingly much of the seafood was still in shells and messy to eat. No extra napkins and had to ask for small utensils to try and give it a go, but sadly left behind all the claws. Even the little muscle shells were a challenge to get meat out. Service was attentive and friendly, but very tight inside. 6 of us around a table the really should have been for 4, maybe 5 due to a bench on 2 sides. Don't suggest parties of that size.

Wife and I started with the Funghi pizza and Tuscan salad.
Both pizza and salad were excellent.
For our meal we shared the eggplant parm which was served in a stack of 5 pieces of eggplant. Took home half of the pizza and part of the stack of eggplant.
Very satisfied

Nothing special that’s for sure. Service was good, beans were great, ambiance was nonexistent and prices were ridiculous
