Parker's Garage & Oyster Saloon

First time visiting LBI and Parker’s Garage with family. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, I was very impressed. The open dining room was filled with light, and the views were spectacular, especially at sunset! Service was great, and everyone loved what they ordered. I had the salmon and green salad, and the flavor pushed this to the top of my list of favorite dishes along the entire Jersey Shore. One outstanding thing to note was the bread. We devoured it before I was able to get a photo of the whole loaf, and I can say that alone would have been worth a return visit! Great place for large parties. We will definitely be back!

Hi. Great place. I just don’t understand WHY you can’t make a piece of grilled chicken. It takes more work to make fried chicken than grilled. It’s either FISH or Fried Chicken Very sad. My family likes this place. But I can’t enjoy dinner with them. Please consider people who don’t eat fish or fried food.

This is by any stretch of the imagination the most overrated eatery on LBI. The food was nothing short of terrible. Some of the items we ordered were literally inedible. Ingredients are not quality and certainly not commensurate with the pricing. The menu is creative and well done, but the execution is nothing short of horrific. A freezer burned pork belly that accompanied some pretty tasteless scallops, risotto on my sone dish that was simply disgusting, a great looking uninspired flavor profile chicken dish and lamb ribs that were actually pretty tasty but so incredibly fatty that they were nearly inedible. Ambiance is truly special and our waiter was beyond delightful and knowledgeable.

After seeing your response to this restaurant review, I am compelled to respond to your response. My food criticism is accurate and right on point for the food that was served to us that evening. I have been in the restaurant industry for my entire career and am never inclined to review negatively any eatery unless its deserved. Your response was not terribly constructive. I complimented your creative menu, ambiance and your exceptional server. But you failed to recognize that and were offended by the negative commentary, I suggest that you consider the possible accuracy of the statements made instead of attacking your guest that paid his check without making a fuss, before you lose more and more customers. This review was not the only bad one regarding your food, so stop pretending that it is. Sorry if my only way of conveying my sentiments was via this media without causing other guests dining nearby to hear the commentary. That deserves a thank you instead of a scolding.

Our service was not good. We waited way too long for everything including paying our bill.

Incredible halibut and blackened grouper. The Mac n cheese is second to none. We absolutely love this establishment. We get a table by the water and just soak it all in.

The food was AMAZING! Ive never heard of swordfish milanese until here.. I loved that its a BYOB, and the service by Ruby was impeccable!!!! Hope to be coming back soon!

It's funny. Our experience started out well. We were lucky to have an earlier reservation and ended up having unexpected family join us. Bringing our table from 5 to 7. Service started out well. Appetizers were incredible. Clams, Single Prop, Shrimp, Lamb Rib and Bao Buns. All were incredible. It went downhill from there. Our main courses came out. Steak frites was dry. Street corn cold. Ahi tuna wasn't seared properly, scallops and bacon tasted funny. Grouper wasn't dull. Server nowhere to be found. We finally were able to track down a server to let them know our concerns but were met with “Why didn't you say something a few minutes ago?” Completely ruined the evening. We've had incredible experiences at Parker's Garage in the past. This one did not live up to expectations. Both from a service and food quality perspective.

Beautiful atmosphere. Everything was exceptional, except for the fliet of the salmon. It was too fishy for my liking & especially the price. I could have made better myself unfortunately.

Oh my LANTA!!! Stop what you’re doing and go here. Get a reservation, 5 pm, 9 pm, doesn’t matter- just go. I’ve been on the island since the old restaurant, boat house, and finally was able to get in to Parker’s Garage. You could get anything on the gorgeous menu and not be disappointed. Just do yourself a favor, and go please.
I devoured tuna crackers, Caesar salad, duck buns (I think it’s called?) Brussels sprouts salmon and Mac n cheese. I will never forget the bread and insane butter. Stop reading this and just go!!!!!
