Bad experience

Came here for dinner and drinks and it was so fun! The apps were really good, I recommend the buffalo egg rolls. Fun spot with great vibes for a larger group.

Terrible experience, I was planning a vacation there with my family and booked two rooms. When we got there, we expected to get to our rooms and have a great time. The reality? We had to move hotels because of poor customer service. The hotel staff said that we never really booked the rooms even though we had proof of purchase. They did not allow us to stay in the rooms and we had to move to the sea spray hotel

We toured countless venues across New Jersey at the start of our wedding planning journey, but from the beginning, we knew our non-negotiables: we wanted a coastal setting, our dog by our side on the big day, and a venue that truly felt like us. Just as importantly, it had to be a place our guests would enjoy as much as we would.

The moment we toured The Shell, we knew we had found the one. The space, the vibe, the energy—it all just clicked. From that point on, Jaimee and Brittany were with us every step of the way. Their guidance, organization, and support made the planning process smooth and stress-free. They really are the best!

Our wedding day was more incredible than we ever imagined. We received so many compliments throughout the day—from the beautiful ceremony and the amazing food to the overall atmosphere and the outstanding staff.

Speaking of the food—yes, it really is that good. The rave reviews are absolutely true, and our guests are still talking about it. But what truly stood out was the staff. We lost count of how many people told us how impressed they were. The team was professional, warm, and incredibly attentive. The bartenders were a huge hit too—remembering drink orders and even entertaining guests with mixology tricks!

If you're dreaming of a fun, beachside wedding with a top-notch team and unforgettable food, don’t hesitate—book The Shell. It was the best decision we made. We’re endlessly grateful to the entire team for making this the best day of our lives—and for doing it all with such ease and grace. They made the entire experience completely stress-free!

We have never stayed at the hotel, but we visit the outdoor bar and it's always fun. They have corn hole boards and usually live music. Improvements to consider would be getting a slightly higher energy musician. Sometimes the music is just a little too low key and when we go out on a Saturday we are looking for energy.

Beware of fees when booking a room. I cancelled my room 30 days in advance due to a work obligation and they kept over $100 of my money and refused to refund me. I will never book at this hotel again! They basically stole my money for a service they never provided me.

This place is great. We went in the off season and loved it. A great vacation is to go there in September-October ... Still good weather, quiet but not dead. Super fun.

Great wedding venue

My family and I just recently returned from a fantastic 5 day getaway to Seashell Resort in Beach Haven, NJ. All I can say is WOW! This place is amazing! From the cleanliness of the rooms to the top notch service the employees are all very professional and take great pride in this establishment. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The rooms are kept immaculate. Housekeeping cleaned the ENTIRE room every day! The food at the outdoor patio and indoor restaurant was delicious! The location is super convenient as it is right on the beach. The vibe out on the pool patio is fun for everyone! I would highly recommend this place and look forward to returning next summer!

Honestly for a tiki bar I expected there to be at least one tiki drink on the menu and more than 2 rum drinks
