The menu also features shrimp and hot peppers that make it truly exceptional. This place is about as authentic Italian as it comes in NJ. The food and atmosphere are nostalgic and comforting. The owners, Arlene and Kim, and their competent crew ensure that guests feel at home and well-cared for in this legendary establishment. Cash-only and rough around the edges but you really can't go wrong on their menu. The only suggestion is to go with a big group and get there before they open to secure your spot. Chicken Savoy, Murphy Chicken, cavatelli and pot cheese are some of the highlights. You definitely have to try at least one of these dishes. There usually is a wait to eat at this place but it is worth every minute.
