I stopped by while exploring the area, drawn in by the strong reviews. The staff were warm, courteous, and very patient as I took my time deciding what to order. I mentioned that I can’t handle spicy food, and when they reassured me the vodka sandwich wasn’t spicy, I went with their recommendation—even though I originally had a cheesesteak in mind.
The sandwich came out quickly and was generously cheesy and saucy. While it was well-prepared, it ended up tasting a bit too mellow for me. I tried adding black pepper, garlic powder, and oregano to bring out more flavor, but it still didn’t quite hit the spot.
To be fair, it’s tough for someone to recommend something without knowing your exact preferences. The staff did everything right—I just didn’t communicate what I was really in the mood for. On my way out, one of the team members offered a kind goodbye, which was a really thoughtful touch and left a positive impression.
I'd definitely come back to try something different next time. Maybe offering a bit more description or flavor guidance with menu items could help customers like me find their best fit. Overall, great service and a friendly team—I look forward to visiting again.
First time trying Vero and it was delicious! We got a pepperoni pizza, chicken fingers/fries and cheese fries. Everything was great and I will definitely be back to try other items.
Had a wonderful lunch at Vero! Pizza was perfect (plain and vodka chicken parm slices)! The owner was so friendly, kind and welcoming! Highly recommend!
Best pizza
Almost better than pizzas in Italie
Since the demise of Italia at this location, and as a resident in Bellmawr since the 70s, there have been a string of different owners with poor product. NOT ANYMORE. Vero serves excellent food throughout the menu. Service is quick and always with a smile. 2 thumbs up!
The best grandma pizza I have taste many.
This is my go to pizza restaurant.
Just what I was looking for before I headed back to Iowa. Super friendly manager willing to explain where this out of towner would get the best bang for the buck and then the pizza itself was amazing. 5 stars at least!!
We tried the Tri-Color pizza pie and it was delicious! There's a perfect blend of cheese, sauces, and the crust was light and crispy at the same time. It doesn't make you feel heavy after which is amazing!
Absolutely perfect pizza! We had a slice of plain and a slice of the pepperoni sausage. Both were delicious. $10.89 for 2 slices and 2 cans of soda. Parking lot is a bit tight.
whoever made the food tonight, seriously, it was perfect. sicilian meat lover had a nice crunch with golden brown crust. the chicken parm sandwich was juicy and the sauce was my kinda of sweet. the garlic knots never miss.. they’re always perfect! the loaded fries were layered nicely and had a little bit of everything with every bite. i’ve never had a bad meal from here even on busy nights. definitely will miss vero’s when i move back to california.
Restaurantji Recommends
Myself and my wife eat at this establishment. The staff is super friendly and the owner who we know personally runs a really, tight operation. The owner Antimo works the counter and is very hands own. The food is amazing.
Fountain soft drinks, desserts etc great.
Antimo has been in the restaurant business for years and it shows. If you have never been to Vero you need to do so!!
The pizza was okay and nothing special.
Highly recommend the margarita pizza! Staff is friendly, plenty of seating and parking, and love how fresh the ingredients are
Have to order and grab your own food. No love for the troops with a lack of military discount, and the food was not worth the price. Dave Portnoy would probably give it a 5/10 at best.
The pizza is delicious
