Get the Southern Chicken Sandwich. Apps pretty good just presentation isn't great. But I can't wait to come back. Drinks are great & strong.

So my wife and I enter and walk up to the hostess. I asked for an inside table for two and she acted like we were bothering the hell out of her. She gets the menu's and silverware and starts walking without a word. As we're walking to our table, both of us notice the strong odor that reminds me of sour or bad beer. As we entered the back room to our table, the odor was less noticeable, but the table she's seating us at is dirty from the last customers. She looks at us and asks if we want our table cleaned. (Who would ask that? Should've seated us at another table or said give me a minute to clean this up for you). That would be a great idea was my reply. She drops, not sets the menu's and silverware onto the table next to us and walks away. Again, doesn't say a word and is noticeably irritated at the request. We pick up the menu's and start looking them over when we realize that there's a floor fan on top of the table opposite to ours (maybe 8 ft away) which would be blowing directly on us and our food. Easy fix. I'll get someone to redirect it. Well the hostess returns. Sprays a couple small puddles on the table, takes a rag and wipes the center of the table, then puts our silverware thats wrapped in a napkin on the wet table and left. She didn't wipe the entire table, just the center so crumbs are still there along with water from previous beverage glasses and greasy food/ hand marks. I was going to ask for a manager, but my wife had enough and wanted to spend our money else where. We're here on vacation and have found the majority of area eateries appreciate the revenue from visitors to the Jersey shore. I can't say the same for this place. We all have bad days. Hope that's all it was for the hostess. She truly didn't want to be there that day. It's because of her shitty attitude and that horrible odor that I posted this review. As for the food? We'll never know

Wow is this place fun!! The drinks are great, the food is great, and the music/live band is epic!! I know it is already super popular but the bartenders, staff and everyone are super kind, courteous and fun-- much appreciated for this areas bars! This place can make a normal night a great one. Can't recommend enough. Pro tip: make this bar your plan A

Great vibes, drinks and food. Came here for the fourth time last week and decided to leave a review. Consistently good food (also reasonably priced), nice bar staff and a fun crowd. Couple times there was a band performing which definitely elevated the energy as so far they were all very good. If you're looking for a great casual place to have some drinks, food and listen to music this is your place!!

This place was a surprising hit for us. We were a bit skeptical walking up as we were expecting it to be on the water. It has a dive bar type atmosphere when you walk in but has booths in the back and tons of outdoor seating. The drinks were basic but well made and strong. The food was delicious! We had the steak bite appetizer and the steak was cooked perfectly. The horseradish sauce tasted house made, not bought. My husband loved his prime rib dip and my quesadilla was huge with shredded style chicken and on what appeared to be a tomato tortilla. When in the area we will definitely stop in again.

Sad to say, we stopped here after another restaurant appeared to be closed. It looked like a fun vibe on the outside, so we went in on a lark. My girlfriend asked for an unsweetened ice tea, and was told "our waitress called out, so no one had time to make it." My instinct was to leave, and I wish I had followed through on that impulse. As we waited for our food, we started noticing things, such as food by the next table on the floor, that remained there our entire stay.The only saving grace was that their food wasn't half bad.The inside vibe was semi controlled chaos. The bathrooms, and general cleanliness were a 0-star affair. I'll give this place 2, because the food was edible, and our waiter/bus boy/cook was clearly doing triple duty under impossible conditions. No excuse for the grime though. None.This place is ripe for one of those restaurant makeover reality shows.Keep the old school local vibe, wipe off the grit, and get a new flow between bar and restaurant, and this place could thrive.It is never a pleasant thing to serve up a bad review. Generally speaking, I don't say anything if I don't have something positive to say. It takes a lot to get me to go negative.As outings go, I'll probably remember this one for all the wrong reasons, and can hopefully laugh about it down the road.There's a big difference between loveable local dive, and just plain gross.It's not too late to fix this.

DO NOT COME HERE! If I could give them 0 stars I would. The food is terrible and the drinks do not taste good at all. The soda has a weird after taste and the Ground Beef Street tacos taste like laundry detergent. The pizza tastes DiGiorno’s frozen Pizza. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Nachos and there was barely any meat or cheese in them.They also include the gratuity in the bill so I payed a $5 tip when the food was DISGUSTING! The waitress also put us down for a party of 12 when it was only 3 of us. The waitress was very nice though. BUT I WILL NEVER GO BACK BECAUSE THE FOOD IS TRASH!

I just went here with my friends tonight and there was only three of us. Me and Jaione. We heard good things but when we got our food it tasted horrible. We got soda. It tasted weird and the food actually tasted like laundry detergent. Never going again. Made us tip $5 for what animal food? Just go to McDonald’s if you want decent food? very expensive no air conditioning and we got a steak that was cut but no silverware so he had to use his fingers to eat the steak because the waitress took so long to come back the wings sucked the drinks were like water never again I do not recommend
I went here with my boyfriend last night and it was the worst restaurant experience I've had in my entire life. First they sat us without menus so when the waitress showed up for the FIRST time after 20 minutes of being seated we hadn't even got to look at the menu. Then we ordered & After approaching an hour and a half for for waiting for our food (2 people getting 2 tacos) we figured the food was just never coming and asked if we could pay for the drinks and leave. We handed the waitress a 20$ bill and she literally threw it back at us and said this doesn't even cover the drinks and your food is on its way. (You told us it was on its way 4 times for over an hour now). Anyways we had to pay for the food that ended up finally coming out by the time we settled this all & got like a 10$ discount for waiting TWO HOURS for food. Mind boggling. I understand they were short staffed that night but the waitress should have let us know that immediately before ordering. I've never walked out of a restaurant before in my life, guess there's a first for everything!

This restaurant was recommended to me and it did not disappoint! The pizza with Buffalo chicken was a 10 out of 10 and the service was incredible! The waiter was such a kinda hearted person and helped us every step of the way! 1000% recommend the mozzarella sticks as well as I still think about those every night before I sleep! Thank you and I will definitely be coming back every time I am in belmar!

I'm not the kind of person to leave Yelp reviews... but this experience was worth noting. My fiancé and I were going for a lovely walk in Central Park and decided to stop in at the bar to get a drink. The bar was completely empty and there were 3 people working the bar. We waited 10 minutes and were never acknowledged. Pretty disgusting and disappointing.
