“I'm extremely picky when it comes to pizza. There aren't many places that impress me. This is one that does--definitely one of the best pizzerias in the state, if not *the* best. Small menu, but everything is terrific, especially the salads, the homemade bread, meatballs, and the "plain" pie. They even add fresh basil and freshly grated Parmesan to the pizza before serving. Crust is perfection. Eat there. Don't ruin this perfection by putting it in a box. Great vibe, fantastic staff.”

My wife and I both had burgers and we both agreed they were the best we have had in at least 20 yrs. Grade A meat and the french fries were freshly cut and fried. Can't wait to get back. If you are a movie buff like me you will love the decor. The service was great also.”

“We have used it for take out only. It is exceptional chinese food. The flavor is some of the best I have tasted. Though there are a lot of chinese restaurants between our place in Asbury Park and Tripple Green I feel it is worth it to get the best chinese food around.

When you call ahead for an order it is always ready for you when you arrive. The food is packaged well to avoid and spillage and condiments are supplied.

The store is clean and I feel confident that the staff uses the highest standards to keep the food fresh and delicious.”

After an incredible day near the Jersey Shore, my sister and I were looking for one last stop before heading back to North Jersey a place where we could grab something sweet for the ride home. Once again, Google pointed us in the right direction, leading us to Sweet in Belmar.

From the moment we walked through the door, we knew we had found something special.

The bakery sits in a charming little part of town, and inside was everything we didn’t know we were looking for. Between the beautifully decorated cupcakes and the nostalgic candy that instantly took us back to childhood, we couldn’t help but smile as we looked around.

The experience became even sweeter thanks to the owners. We had the pleasure of meeting the mother and daughter team, who were incredibly kind and genuinely excited to share the story behind their family bakery. We even learned they once lived in Delaware before returning to New Jersey to open their dream business. It’s always refreshing to meet people who pour so much love into what they do.

Of course, we couldn’t leave empty handed.

We picked up a Happy Birthday chocolate cupcake, a lemon cupcake, a red velvet cupcake, a princess cupcake, a strawberry crunch cupcake, and a mermaid cupcake.

The red velvet was my personal favorite rich, moist, and perfectly balanced. My sister absolutely loved the lemon cupcake. We also enjoyed the strawberry filled cupcake, and while we both wished it had just a little more cake to match the delicious strawberry filling and frosting, the flavor itself was wonderful.

As two people who grew up loving neighborhood bakeries, we’re always searching for places that remind us why local bakeries are so special. Sweet delivered exactly that. It wasn’t just about the cupcakes it was about the warmth, the conversation, the family atmosphere, and the obvious pride they take in every item they create.

If you find yourself in Belmar and you’re craving a cupcake, nostalgic candy, or simply want to support a wonderful family owned bakery, make this one of your stops.

We’ll absolutely be back. Some sweet treats are worth making the trip for, and Sweet definitely earned a place on our list.”

“I walked in there at 5:30 AM and ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese with a hash brown on a roll. That was hands down the best roll I’ve ever had. The owner went to the back and put his whole soul into that roll 😭”

The biggest con about this location is the exhaust in the space is absolutely awful. There is a constant cloud of smoke from their cooking in the kitchen and it doesn’t properly exhaust out of the space. You will 100% leave smelling like fried food and it will be on your clothes, hair, etc the whole day. I almost had to walk out the other day because my eyes were tearing. Also, many people come in here to work on their laptops which is fine but if you are coming to meet a friend for coffee and chat, there most likely won’t be any seats. If you can grab one of the few seats outside, I would go for that.”
