I'm extremely picky when it comes to pizza. There aren't many places that impress me. This is one that does--definitely one of the best pizzerias in the state, if not *the* best. Small menu, but everything is terrific, especially the salads, the homemade bread, meatballs, and the "plain" pie. They even add fresh basil and freshly grated Parmesan to the pizza before serving. The special heirloom tomato pie was exceptional and the meatball appetizer with optional whipped ricotta was excellent. The service and decor was very good. We arrived around 5:00 on a Thursday and were seated immediately, soon afterwards there was a short wait. I look forward to returning for lunch.
How. On. EARTH!!! Did I not know about this place sooner?? I have been trying to find a pizza place near me that was even remotely close to the style of pizza I had at Rosie’s down in Point pleasant beach. Lemme tell yall… this place is nearly exactly like that if not better. I couldn’t have imagined my standards for pizza could be any higher and Lucci’s just raised the freakin BAR! Oh mah lordt.
